Losing key talent will hurt a brand. It's not FUD, it's common sense. You may see key talent as "unnecessary weight", but, as I said before, who is going to be left to make those great games? If you knew your history, you'd know the same thing happened at Atari in the early 80's. Key game designers left, and management considered them expendable. The opposite was true, and the quality of Atari's games declined sharply, while the formerly exclusive programme...

"I hate to see good, talented people lose their jobs, but if it's to help Sony get out of the financial rut that they are in, then so be it. Has to be done."

That's one of the most ridiculous comments I've ever heard. So, I guess it's somehow better to have a workforce made up of LESS talented people. Losing talented people will NEVER get a company out of a rut.

Face it, the only people who think there's nothing wrong are the o...

If Drive Club arrives at 1080p AND 60FPS, then yes, it could put Forza to shame.

If Drive Club's frame rate is massively downgraded to add visual effects, then we'll know there's little difference between the two.

I'll be interested to finally see an apples to apples comparison of the same genre on Xbox One and PS4.

Forza 5 is 1080p and 60 frames per second. However, Turn 10 are accused of downgrading Forza 5 in order to maintain those specs.

So, when Drive Club is released, we'll see what a 1080p/60FPS PS4 driving game can do in the effects department. Unless, of course, Drive Club's frame rate is massively downgraded in order to add special effects. If...

Consumers clearly find gaming cameras relevant. I mean, look at the sales of the PS4 camera.

It's been sold out everywhere since launch. Gamestop raised the price because they know people will pay it. The PS4 camera sells for $100+ on Ebay.

What are all those people using their PS4 cameras for? Are there more quality games for the PS4 camera than there currently are for Kinect?

@Morganfell

"It should be a strong indicator that in the month prior to the launch of the X1's biggest title to date, one that was heavily marketed, they could not out sell the short supply PS4 in the US."

It's also a strong indicator that in the month prior to the launch of PS4's biggest title to date (Infamous), one that was heavily marketed, PS4 could only outsell the Xbox One by 10%. Remember, PS4 outsold Xbox One by 50% in January....

In January, PS4 sold twice as much as X1 in the U.S.

In February, PS4 sold only 10% more than X1.

Neither console had a major exclusive released in either of those months.

"And that include the month leading up to Microsoft's one big exclusive that was supposed to generate massive XB1 sales."

Since when is the month BEFORE a major release considered a peak selling time? I could just as easily say that PS4 only ...

"PS4 will be ahead this entire generation."

That's right, because we all know that console races are sprints, not marathons. I mean, it's not like a more expensive, harder-to-program-for machine has EVER come from behind to catch it's competition. Four months into a ten year cycle and you've already declared a winner. Of course, if Sony was behind, people like you would be saying "just wait, just wait".

It's amazing ...

Perhaps you could do the math to figure out how many PS4's Taco Bell gave away. Of course that would require fairness, something you don't seem to be interested in.

"N4G readers just seem to react to titles and go into their fanboy arguing mode."

You're really going to open that can of worms? Look at your first sentence:

"The big Nintendo franchises are finally arriving - 3D Mario, Smash, Mario Kart, and finally a new Zelda"

What about the big Xbox franchises? Are you just going to pretend they don't exist? You know, the franchises like Halo and Gears that are the top proven system sellers.

By the way, Xbox One was the #1 selling console in the last U.S. chart, and that's ...

"i believe ms will turn things around like sony did with the ps3"

That's very likely. After all, it's a marathon, not a sprint as many here want to believe. I believe the future is good for the Xbox One, and I use historical FACTS to support my opinion.

"The PS3 has outsold the Xbox 360 every single year its been on the market including the very first."

Yet again you have no FACTUAL rebuttal, so you simply attack Axios2.

His post is 100% accurate, and is a major reason to believe that the future of Xbox One looks good.

"Titanfall is not going to magically close at gap of 3 million, regardless of how manufactured hype for Xbox One this multiplatform game gets."

That's 100% right because a console race is a marathon, not a sprint as Sony fans want to believe. One game will NEVER close a sales gap.

The Xbox One will catch up after ALL of it's big games are released. It will take a while, the same way it took PS3 a long time to catch up to the 360.

You know, the system is only three months old. It's not like the Xbox One's been out for three or four years and needs a title like Titanfall to save it.

Titanfall will be the biggest release since the launch of the current generation. It will be the Xbox One's identity until the next big game comes out. Even though Titanfall is also on 360 and PC, the current charts show 6X as many pre-orders for the Xbox One version compared to the PC or 360 versions. The PC...

Downplay it all you want, but the Xbox One version of Titanfall has 6X as many pre-orders as the 360 or PC versions. The PC and 360 versions won't even make a dent in the overall sales of the Xbox One version - they are nothing more than an afterthought in most gamers' minds.

4486d ago 6 agree7 disagreeView comment

Lower specs and a higher price didn't stop the PS2 from beating the competition, so there's no reason to believe the Xbox One can't catch up once it's heavy hitters arrive.

Sony fans may want to believe this console race is a sprint, but history has proven (over and over) that it's a marathon.

It's amazing how many people have absolutely no knowledge of gaming prior to 2010.

4486d ago 3 agree7 disagreeView comment

This should put to rest the notion that Titanfall won't be a system seller because it's also available on 360 and PC.

The Xbox One version is #1, with nearly 5X as many pre-orders as either the 360 or PC versions.

"At least the performance was really solid."

Shouldn't that be the most important thing? Why are you considering it the "least"? Are you suggesting that performance should have been downgraded to get better looking spectators, clouds, and trees?

If you want a racer that looks great but plays poorly, there's plenty of Need for Speed games that fit the bill.

Since you're so interested in Forza, I'm sure you...
