Don't forget that MS tried a PC paywall with games for windows live and so few people used it they had to drop the charge.
It would have happened without the 360, maybe at a much slower pace though. Don't forget Sony already had the infrastructure in place for PSN, so as time went on the service would have evolved naturally.
Maybe the trophy system wouldn't have happened though, because they did seem to be more of an afterthought on Sonys part.
It says 6hrs ago for me, could be n4g messing up. It keeps telling me that I have new notifications when there aren't any as well.
I think their code monkeys still have a bit more work to do after the update.
We do have the spring sale going on and a separate sale for PS3/Vita games and there is some decent stuff on there, so it's not as if we've got nothing.
From what I've seen we also generally get the better deals on christmas/new year sales as well.
A mega shit-ton?
That's a lot.
Am I the only one who finds it odd that someone is referring to the the system that finished last as "the king of all game consoles"?
Haha, I know man. Whoever thinks all that stuff up, he definitely doesn't get paid nearly enough.
Yes
Are you mental?
As poorly as I think of the most recent Elder Scrolls games, they have probably the most extensive amount of backstory and deepest lore of probably anything in the industry at the minute. At least outside of Japan.
Seriously, I remember playing Oblivion years ago thinking to myself "who the hell writes these books, it's going to take me weeks to read all these".
Sadly yet another clickbait article from eurogamer, sad to see how much the...
I was just going to ask that, I've been wondering who's took over since Sony shut Evolution.
Maybe one of their London studios. Actually, I don't think Sony have any more game studios in the North of England now, Evolution (Runcorn) was their last one I think after they closed Liverpool studio. I could be wrong though.
@equal_youth
Was it 750,000? Well that just makes it even worse.
@beaks
Yeah it was a few years ago, one of their writers even admitted it on twitter. Arthur Geis, (however it's spelled) I think said it.
See, here's the problem with your post "I would", it doesn't matter what YOU would do, YOU aren't the developer of the Souls series and THEY decide who THEY create and market the game to.
If people who aren't the target demographic want to play the game and put the effort in, then they are more than welcome to do so. In fact I encourage it and fully support them in doing so, but the Souls games are there to offer a challenge and that's what the developer...
It's also ok for you to not play the games you find too difficult just because they happen to be popular and likely aren't even aimed at you to begin with.
Nice, a dev that actually listens to their fans.
I'm really interested to see how NX pans out and what it looks like, but at the same time I admit that I'm wary of getting one because of what's gone on with Wii U
Is this game still having technical problems?
Have they managed to get peoples data back yet, as that's something that would really brass me off if I'd put quite a bit of time into it.
Polygon hates Japanese game. In other news, the sky is blue.
Polygon did get a fat cheque (something in the region of $250,000 if I recall correctly) from Microsoft a few years back to do some video about the xbox, so there's that.
They just seem to have a hate boner for anything Japanese, though. You can see it in a lot of their reviews.
"Sony has published the latest ones but never made a good game."
Neither has activision ;)
I have a Vita for portable gaming.
My phone is for communication only.
There is no way that any phone will make me "love" mobile gaming, there is a reason mobile gaming has the reputation it does.
