I just hope it is as a reaction to companies releasing half finished/broken games and not a shift to digital, personally. It's high time that gamers stopped accepting it as just another part of the industry, nowhere else would people fork over a load of cash for a broken/unfinished product and not get uppity over it.
Hell, I've not even considered buying a PS4 or Bone yet because I got burned with the technical issues I had with both my PS3 and 360 over the years. I ain't ...
I don't know man, they're fairly evenly split over here in the UK, though I'd say the PS4 is ahead just by a nose.
The issue with the Xbox is - or at least was - a public perception issue caused by its creators hubris, if you look at the PS3 back in the day when that was released it had pretty much exactly the same problems (stupidly high price, cocky creators, etc).
"Both games"? You mean both games that have been released on it?
*Badum-tsh*
Only joking, I'm planning to get a PS4 myself once I get my move to Japan sorted, of course I could get a Bone but with there being only about 3 people over there who own an Xbox I can't imagine online play to be a lot of fun or populous.
It's also worth remembering that women like to create sexy female characters as well.
Just look at Bayonetta.
There may be a danger of such a thing if maybe we got some actual new games once in a while as opposed to re-releases. I've still not bothered to get a PS4 or Bone because pretty much all the games available for them, I can play on last gen systems.
Though I did get a Wii U because it was cheap as fug at the time.
I thought the title said Portal DLC for a second there.
I was wondering why Valve would be taking a pot shot at Schafer, or why they'd be putting out DLC for a 4 year old game.
Yeah, TVii on WiiU. Until I realised that I live in the UK and that I'd never be getting access to it.
@jmd749
It's gameranx, what were you expecting?
Is that just for the US Amazon app store or is there something similar going on for the UK/EU as well?
Here's something to ponder on, how many times have you heard of guys receiving free money/gear/etc from a legion of thirsty ass strangers in MMOs or (oftentimes quite literally) have an army of players to pick from to go questing with?
You never get that kind of treatment if you're a dude. Well, not unless you're pretending to be a chick anyway. Such is the reason why a lot of guys choose to play as female characters in MMOs.
My point is, that (answering the title ...
I think it may be just an assumption at the minute, though with the success of the other games they'd be nuts not to localise it.
How the hell does a downloadable elite version work anyway? I mean, it's not as if you're getting physical extras thrown into a fancy box and 105 notes is just ridiculous for digital content in the first place.
Remember when they said putting games into an online store would remove the costs related to buying space in brick and mortar stores and the actual printing of discs and packaging?
Yet more promises we were made. And they wonder why people still prefer to buy ph...
I'm just glad they're giving it another go to be honest. I used to love it at my mates parties when we got the Guitar Hero out, good tunes, good company and plenty of booze flowing. The recipe for an excellent night.
Me too. And it's full, I keep having to delete things to make room for when I want to download something else.
I hope they release a bigger capacity card soon.
Exactly, it's not as if it puts anyone at a disadvantage, it just seems to be for those players who are a bit shit or can't be bothered to learn the combos (kombos?).
Personally I feel you get the most satisfaction from learning the button combos from fatalities and sitting back watching with a sadistic grin as your character eviscerates your opponent.
One thing I am a bit brassed off about though is them not bringing MKX to Vita, though Boon has been dropping a few hi...
@OrangePowerz I wouldn't waste the bandwidth dude, the one person who would defend polygon at this point is someone on the polygon staff obviously trying to save their rapidly dwindling click count. Or a troll.
And as for you @donthate, try better next time. It comes to something when the people who run "no name sites" offer up better researched a less biased articles than the "professionals" as polygon.
You are right that we deserve better, th...
You think $60 is bad, try paying what we in the UK have been paying fr games. £50-£55 a game works out at approximately $75-$80. Rip of central over here mate
It means that some of us are going to have a rather excellent (if somewhat time consuming) October.
65GB... Holy sucking fhit that's huge.
That is also what she said.
It's kotaku. You were perhaps expecting them not to embellish the truth?
