But DRM is NOT the future of gaming. MS called it that, and people just ate that up. Sorry but the game industry does not begin or end with MS. They only had one successful console. If Sony and Nintendo don't go with DRM, then it's a no-go. And I hope it stays that way on consoles, forever.
Maybe he meant the last of the GOTY 2013 games.
Meh, ps4 is doing the same thing on cell phones too. I'll just get a ps4.
I was astounded when Nintendo only NOW admitted that they were unprepaired for the HD market. Absolutely insane. How could they have not consulted another company before doing this? Has Iwada no idea how this industry has changed? Ever since Iwata became prez, he's isolated the company so much, that they became totally out of touch with the industry as a whole. Even the average n4g user knows that the HD era is far more costly, time consuming, and difficult. Not to mention the other addit...
That video was amazing! I wish they included a Wii U gang, for their perspective too.
Lololol
Just play it on emulation...
Excellent idea!
No one asks why we watch TV or movies. Or stare at paintings, etc.
A very well made game can surpass even the best of those other forms of entertainment. Personally, the only other form of entertainment that I haven't replaced with gaming, is reading books, experimenting with cooking, and listening to music.
Edit: Also, LOL at the lasy in the background of the picture above who's jealous of the guy playing his game. Guys, find a girl who can enjoy ga...
@Pope: Why would u say no to more options?
Isn't this game coming out in just a few short months? DICE should have asked for our input months ago. Oh well, better late than never. Just hope they are not gonna be late with BF4, as it will likely be my first PS4 game.
^ This. Loved MGO to death!
@a_bro: THANK YOU! I don't know why Kojima (and the writer of this article) thinks that westerners hated MGO. We loved it. We don't need another COD-clone. It was just their crappy servers, it's ability to be easily hacked (and often WAS hacked) plus the Konami ID's which if forgotten, would lock your PS3 out of being able to play the game, forever (even if you tried on a different PSN i.d.) that ruined MGO.
Leave the "steep" learning curve alone! Ma...
@Alexious: The moment that Iwata became president, was the moment that things went downhill. President Yamouchi knew how to stay relevent each generation. The only mistake he made was when he let certain persons convince him to go with cartridges for the N64 and to backstab Sony (who was their partner at the time).
Plus Yamouchi had strong 3rd party love, made NEW Ip's every gen for consoles (not just portables) like StarFox, etc. And Yamouchi supported mature rated first...
They should port it to other consoles too. Also, pimp it out and make it better too, since it had mixed reviews.
Took the words right out of my mouth! Bubble for you, mister.
Absolutely! IMO, My hardest games this gen were:
-Hard Corps: Uprising
-Demon's Souls
-Dark Souls
-Mega Man 9
-Mega Man 10
-Metal Gear Online (it was the hardest to master (yet most rewarding) multiplayer to play)
-MG Rising Reveangance (not a fan, but it IS challenging!)
-Ninja Gaiden 1 & especially NG 2
-Catherine
-Tokyo Jungle (especially when using herb-eating animals only)

Bethesda has some of the worst, over-rated coders ever. No one else is complaining about cross-platform programming for next-gen. Only the programmers of the obscenely buggy Skyrim game are complaining (no surprise there).
Man, imagine using the touch pad to flick for controls of the skateboard!
Personally I think that the way Windows and PS4 handles DRM is the best way...by making it optional (only a game publisher can decide if each game will have drm). But for MS to enforce DRM on EVERY game is just plain wrong. If a publisher wants to take the risk of p!ssing off their fans by adding DRM, then go ahead. But don't hide behind xbox one's MANDITORY DRM. Each individual publisher should bare the fruits of his own individual drm policies.
