Not super surprised. First quarter of the calendar year after the holidays is usually slow.
Yeah I think it's likely that both will receive price cuts at some point this year. Both MS and Sony will want to put the pressure on Wii U's launch.
Odd that they didn't mention PS3 whatsoever, meanwhile Xbox 360 is trouncing them...
The retail picture for the industry is going to continue to be ugly. Digital is becoming more and more important and NPD doesn't offer any monthly digital data.
EDIT: On a side note, as a baseball nut and a HUGE fan of MLB The Show, very happy to see it doing well on the charts.
I don't think it's big deal that it's down from last year. ALL hardware sales are down from last year, so the number MS just put up is quite respectable.
Seems like MS is in the driver's seat. If they drop price, Sony has no choice.
Wow, some groups in America are so homophobic.
"pretty far down in the shit bowl, with the pieces of corn and peanuts." Gotta love the image that evokes, lol
For once, I side with EA. This was a retarded poll. EA may not be so nice from a games business viewpoint, but they are nothing to the world compared to the people who screwed over our entire economy and housing market.
They'll get better no doubt, but it'll be a while before they match up with AAA console titles
I think the key will be price. If the Wii U is "only" on par with Xbox 360 or thereabouts but is priced very affordably and you have Mario and/or Zelda at launch it'll be just fine.
Man, I hope they do it just for the drama! lol
After looking at Too Human, the government probably thought otherwise. Ha!
Lol, really now? Too Human was an interesting idea, but the game was sadly just terrible.
wow, considering that Minecraft has zero marketing while Angry Birds has been whored out everywhere, that's stunning
I would have loved to have seen it this year. Oh well.
Very interesting discussion. I sort of feel bad as an American that I'm so ignorant about our own Revolutionary war!
Cool. It already had my thumbs up, great game, but it's very nice to see that Spector loved it too :)
The dude does know how to throw down. Seriously though, kudos to him for building Giant Bomb and triumphing over GameSpot.
Nice read. As the saying goes, count Nintendo out at your peril. It may not see Wii like levels of success but Wii U could certainly do very well.
