Something tells me the best place to cast dispersions about the nerdery of others isn't a video game news forum.
Is your name in reference to 'The Matrix'? Because that's not nerdy at all.
I often don't see eye to eye with the big boys. Some of my favorite 360 games so far have been Tenchu Z, Perfect Dark Zero, and Shadowrun.
Now excuse me while I slather my corpulant flesh with flame-retardant jelly.
...till I tried the Advanced controls. Tell me, did you try the Devil May Cry stuff? And if that didn't trick your trigger, you gotta admit the skill tree and abilities stuff was pretty deep and variable. I liked the demo 100 times more after I mastered the controls... that was the point of the article, really. I think a lot of people dismissed the demo because, like me, they mistook it for a mindless button masher initially.
Sorry man... I used painter lol. I still think it's funny, even if it's ghetto.
Hey gang, let us know what you think of our (relatively) new podcast. We're so small, we can actually take what you say into account. So keep it constuctive, and let your voice be heard. We're listening.
but if it were me, that's a chance I wouldn't want to take, personally. Then again, BC is really important to me... I've played far more PS2 games on my PS3 so far. Revisiting the Metal Gear series before 4 came out was a blast.

Check out the link, MvmntInGrn. I think you'll find it completely contradicts your assertion that there will be multiple SKUs available.
Gamespot's Tor Thorsen:
"First, the $399 model will soon be the "de facto standard SKU" in North America, with all other models--including the 40GB bare-bones model being phased out. Dille said Sony has...
I just called Gamestop because a lot of us go there. I hate them, but they get the games on day one, so what can you do?
And Jack Tretton DID say they were going to replace all the other models with what amounts to the current 40GB model (the one without any BC) with double the hard drive space. I'm not the only journalist who commented on this... check IGN, Gamespot, Joystiq and Kotaku if you don't believe me. If you are banking that the MGS4 bundle, their best current deal...
it's about playing PS2 classics in HD, with Anti-Aliasing and wireless controls. So no... it's not a laziness issue at all.
Did you read the article?
It has hardware BC, which is the best you can get (it has ps2 innards in it and is the best overall BC solution. We could probably sell them on Ebay in a few years for a hefty fee lol) but the current 80GB model offers software BC. The current 40GB model DOESN'T have any type of BC, and that's the model that they chose to make their standard... just with twice the HD space. I liked it now, where you can choose. I guess they felt like they were over-saturating the market with too many conf...
Yeah, if I didn't already have a PS3 that offered Backwards Compatibility, I would do whatever I had to do to get one of the MGS4 bundles before they vanish. Stripping features to reduce the price is fine, but why get rid of a popular feature like BC alltogether? Makes no sense to me.
It's not the sites opinion, it's one writer at one site's opinion.
I was sure Jack was going to say "Now go home and download... Home!" but no...
Last e3 Sony focused so much on Home that if they had said "but it won't be out this time next year" I wonder how that would have gone over. Home looks cool, but they really need to put it out there. They put out plenty of stuff in a semi-working state then fix it as they go... just look at the in-game XMB.
Donde esta "Casa", Sony?
I think E3 is dead... almost every big announcement (except for FF XIII) was leaked ahead of time, and the focus didn't seem to be on games. MS and Sony seemed to focus on competition with one another, while Nintendo was like "We're making a killing with this causal market, and we're going to milk it till the udders squirt blood."
Then maybe you'll see that in the end, Xbox enthusiasts have good reason to hope that the PS3 can catch up to the 360's feature set.
But no... just knee-jerk reactions here on the Open Zone.
you'd know that at no point does it say that the PS3 was rushed. That was said by an N4G user, not the author.
Why do you even come here? To comment about article titles, and reply to people who actually read the articles without knowing what you're talking about?
I'm an American. Why do you think Microsoft can't break through in Japan? Seriously... I'm asking.
People's experiences vary, and their opinions reflect those experiences. My launch 360 has never skipped a beat, so I'm fine, but my friends broke (he bought a used one, though... bad call!) and he was understandably upset.
I just feel like the ability to chat with any of your pals, anytime you want, no matter what either one of you is doing is a feature that the PS3 sorely lacks. I was hoping 2.4 would give the PS3 that feature, and it didn't, sadly. If PSN catches up, I'...
It will benefit all of us. And honestly, I think it will catch up. Then Microsoft will respond. Then Sony will counter, and the cycle of life continues.
I want to check out Home... that's Sony's big unknown quantity at the moment. If it rocks, it could change the landscape considerably. But when, Sony? WHEN?
YES I DO! Gearbox is an amazing developer, and I couldn't be happier that they are taking over the Chief's escapades.
