"Head into Home to discover more."
Nope... won't be doing that, unless you tell me that Voice Chat works underground, I couldn't be less interested in going down into the superating bowells of Home's "Man-hole".
At least not having a feature many people won't ever use cuts down on the 360's cost. Since the 360's cost to feature ratio is largely responsible for the Xbox 360's success, it seems that regardless of what loyal PS3 users here think, it was a sound descision from a purely business perspective.
And I don't hear PS3 users complaining about features that the 360 has that the PS3 lacks... like bundled in HD cables and headsets.
Finally, the 360's wifi adapter i...
"Why pay $60 for God of War 3 when you can rent it and beat it in a week for $5?"
Maybe because I collect great games. I have God of War I and II, and will replay them the month part III comes out, and while I could just rent them over and over, I don't like to force myself to soldier through a game quickly so that I can send it back for another one. Great games deserve to be played again and again... and I don't want to rent it every time.
It should read "Has Shaken". How are we to take the author seriously when he/she can't even get the tense right?
Bad form... bad form.
Worst. Writing. Ever.
StarCraft Ghost. No other cancellation upset me so much. Overall, I think it was a meh list.
Killzone 2 was great, but it's not even the best game on the system (that would be MGS4.) Plus, it really got all the hype it did because a Sony rep lied/misspoke about the footage from E3 05 being 'in-game'.
For my money, Bioshock is still the best shooter around right now. And that's multiplatform, which is great.
So, just tell Gamestop that you want to either A) transfer your down payment to another game, or B) would like a refund. Either way, pre-orders don't lock you in or anything. I expect many, many people aren't going to buy the game at Gamestop and just pre-ordered there to get that demo.
Called both Targets in my area and they were hip to the street date... maybe there was a memo after this story made the rounds.
I will say this though... if you live near a BlockBuster Game Rush, those people have NO idea what street dates are. If you catch a new employee, you WILL get your game early. Usually, anyway.
Running Linux means no PC gaming though, correct?
Microsoft isn't the victor, Nintendo is. And who, do you ask, is the loser?
SONY. Maybe if they had been willing to pay of Square-Enix, they wouldn't have lost Final Fantasy. Microsoft was smart to secure DLC for the most popular game out there.
And I know a lot of insecure PS3 enthusiasts have bet the farm on Killzone 2, just as they do with every noteworthy PS3 exclusive release. If MGS4 didn't turn things around for Sony, Killzone 2 certainly won...
Is this newsworthy? Even dogs and small children know that the 360 will never have a foothold in Japan. Good thing Microsoft's future won't be determined by the habits of Japanese consumers.
Has the writer reached the limits of his creativity? Look around n4g... there are already 100 PS3 fanboy articles littering up the joint with opinions dressed up like facts. Just because the author doesn't like the games coming out on the 360 this year doesn't mean that his personal feelings are representative of gamers as a whole. This is amateurish stuff that is best suited for a blog, not a news site.
Seriously... this is a good idea.
I find the 'evidence' a bit questionable.
First of all, the 'developer information' to which the article refers is basically devs like Insomniac who live in Sony's back pocket, who routinely make comments like, "Our games are only possible thanks to the amazing power of the PS3!"
And what was that "The history of the console" stuff? Like every piece of gaming hardware, yes, devs get better with time. Same is true for the Wii and 360. Ye...
GTA 4 is enourmously popular, so giving people with both a PS3 and a 360 a compelling reason to buy the 360 version wasn't wasteful at all.
that my so called 'hate' is absolutely not based on jealousy, as I own a PS3 and have been underwhelmed with all but a handful of noteworth exclusive games. But I don't have Sony to thank for those titles... they could have been on any platform.
This is like the pot calling the kettle African American.
I find the Gears of War 2 story to be excellent... a notable improvement over the original game. I don't want to spoil it, but the scenes with Dom and his wife are amoung the most touching and poignant in gaming, and if you play through the game without feeling an emotional investment, consider yourself officially jaded.
You know what 'killed' Halo for me? Another Xbox exclusive I like to call Gears of War.
