LA Noire was originally funded by SCEA and is developed by ex-Sony staff. I expect both consoles to perform the same and if anything give the edge to PS3 considering the games history. Anyway, does a few less pixels here and there really make that much of a difference? If LA Noire turns out to be a great game, it'll be a great game on both consoles.
The current ps3 was never marketed as a slimline model. I believe this one will. Like the psone and pstwo this one will take the power supply out of the console and move it to a brick style lead much like the 360.
You know, after reading some of this I'm starting to come round to the idea that these idiots have done Sony a massive favour. If it means a completely rebuilt psn then that's great for everyone. Sony were careless to not encrypt cc details.

@a few posts above: the hackers will probably not do anything with the data. However it could make them a lot of money if they wanted to sell it someone else........
The 2 years thing is what I was going to point out too. I know DAO started development in 2005 or 2006 so maybe once work on the engine and story had come to an end, it was possible to work on DA2 for a bit alongside DAO.
You would prefer to buy a blank disc that was ps3 exclusive than buy a very good multiplat? I gotta say, even by my standards that's a dumb thing to say.
Saying Sony sucks because PSN went down like this is kinda like saying Japan (one of the most tech countries in the world) sucks for not dealing with an earthquake and tsunami.

How can you say that when you don't even know anything about their new console. What if it's a serious powerhouse and as it's the only next gen console out it's the only place to play the next gen gta game? Only an example but these are possibilities let's wait and see.
I don't want MS and Sony to release around the same time. Otherwise they'll be similar and end up like this gen where bar a few exclusives they are virtually the same. I want all three consoles to have their own identifies.
A lot of devs are talking about next gen all of a sudden. Crytek, Digital Illusions and now Bethesda Softworks. Interesting.

People call fake when the photos are blurry. People call fake when the photos are too good. Now people call fake because there is no photo of an HDMI input.
It might not be the final design, but this is the real deal.
@below: Everybody called fake over the slim PS3s because the photos were too blurry or it looked 'cheap' but hey, it turned out to be real. Not everything you read on the internet is crap.
PS+ members can still access the content before the outage and after. Sony owe us nothing. Afterall, they took PSN down themselves to make it more secure for US.

Nothing is ever impossible to hack I feel. But once all the dust has settled, I think only good can come out of something like this. If Sony got complacent about sensitive information, they sure as hell won't make the same mistake again anytime soon.
