I totally agree with this notion, and I have a theory. We will call this the "seen it" theory. Movies are easy to pick on for their violence. The reason being, is that when people site movies for their graphic content, the person attacking the film has most likely "seen it". Even if a peson skims through an hour and a half movie, they can usually get a good grasp of what's happening.

Bioshock's protecting the little sisters can be obnoxious. Bioshock 2 is worse withe big sister battles. I found them unecessary in their abundance. I agree with this article though. Die and try again escort missions, suck! I don't mind them when they are scripted or streamlined. It's the long, drawn out, no checkpoint escort missions that should be banned.

I bought a PS3 because of MLB The show. Now that the MLB liscense is up in the air, I wonder if EA will bring back MVP baseball. I will be pissed if they gobble up 1st party and 3rd party rights, like they did with the NFL. Either way, it will be the only way we see a baseball game on an xbox platform in the future

I read an article somewhere on n4g that said the gpu is slower intentionally and that it doesn't mean it's weaker than the ps3 or xbox360. It stated that it is done to reduce the amount of power consumption and that developers just need time to work with it. Once they do the Wii u should be able to edge out the current consoles but only marginally. They also cited the zombie u game as an example because it uses some lighting techniques that aren't possible in current gen consoles....

Nooooo Way. Is it April fools day? I refused to believe this game would be any good. From trailers, to previews, to screenshots. I thought it looked same'ol as everything else. It looked broken in alot of the preview videos. I can't believe it's getting critical acclaim. Now I have to put down CoD and go pick this up now. Damn it.

I don't think trophies and achievements are bad per say. I do think there are too many per game though. if I had it my way, you would get a bronze or equivalent for just playing. a silver would be achieved by finishing a game or reaching a certain score at a medium difficulty. a gold would be achieved by finishing a game at an exceptional skill level. the all mighty platinum or equivalent would be obtained, similar to how it is done now, by combing over a game, and finishing it's hard...

Imhave a friend suffering from ALS, he is paralyzed from the neck down. He uses a similar setup to write emails and navigate his computer. It uses his mouth and and a motion sensor for his eyes. It's pretty cool to see this in action and I can totally see where this could translate into gaming especially for the handicapped.

Looks great, although, it seems like it requires to much patience. Not that I mind the slower pace and timing of a good stealth game. I just hope that there is a balance between stealth and action. I hate it when games hog tie you so that you can only advance using the games canned stealth gimmick, ala. Splinter Cell, and Metal Gear. It would be nice know if you can approach the game by more aggressive means if you so choose. If so, then this game will be on my radar for this winter.

It's really up to the indavidual to decide how he of she plays a game. Especially Sanbox games that give you freedom to whatever you please. Every game i've ever played, penalize you heavily for random acts of violence. The bottom line, is that developers if they so choose could push the violence bar even further, but responsibly don't.
