Sounds more like a personal choice than a preference. At least it comes across as having an agenda. Just saying. I just can't picture it being that bad. Bad enough you wouldn't even accept it free. It's fine if you don't like TR but the way you make it seem is like its going to be the worst game ever made. Are you not a fan of the developer or something?
" I wouldn't take this thing for free "
Never heard a gamer turn down a free game before. I'm sure there are Tomb Raider fans that don't like Fallout though. I'm not one of them. I like both games but I like games in general.
Lists are equally lame on both sides. Please stop posting them guys. They seem desperate no matter who /which side posts them.
I have always felt that the newer TR series is more based off the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo sort of vibe. A girl pushed to the limits and sort of fight the power in an Indiana Jones sort of spin.
I really don't think it's that big of a deal. All franchises are trying to spin a darker tone lately and havE been doing it for years. JusT makes it feel realistic. They do it in movies and games. Dramatic interpretations of a game that had a sort of campy cartoony vibe to ...
@Mastercornholio
Well said.
@haru
If there is a leap it will be in the variable or locked frame rate on PS4. We know PS4 is more powerful but I don't see them jumping to 1440p 60fps. If they do then awesome but most people don't play on computer monitors so I think it will be more in frames than anything.

Parity wouldn't be an issue because it wasn't with ground zeros when xbox h...
PS4 is doing amazing, but.. You do realize that Xbox doesn't need to beat PS4 to survive right? They just need to make money on the investments they put money towards and continue to give Sony a run for their money.
Furthermore, servers and computational power isn't a gimmick or some magic trick. It's just how fanboys are spinning it that makes it seem that way. It may not be "20x the POWER!" like so many idiots are claiming online, but it doesn't ...
Like any multiplayer game. This is only for MP. They have a SP game too.
They say it takes about 2-4mb down to make that work. I'm sure that's what they are trying to get right. They may have to scale back things but all in all I think since it's all on dedciated servers it will be much easier.
I would assume most people have about a 10mb down now. At least most. Not all.
The power of dedicated servers. That's what makes it easier. Each set of buildings is set to a server on the dedicated servers. The online matches and the environments for destruction. Also it seems like the debris doesn't disappear. Not sure if you ever noticed in games on console where bad guys disappear when you kill them or debris quickly disappears after destroying something. They do that to lower the amount of compute they have to use locally. Each fragment of debris has its on ...
You should check out the Locke controller and Xbox One console. Look it up.
@GameNameFame
Come on dude.. Just because MS started using cloud compute doesn't mean that other companies aren't going to use it too. Or that it's impossible to do. They just happen to be the first really pushing it because they own so many servers. They are trying to innovate online gaming using what they have. If this takes off, do you think other companies and developers won't use it? OF course they are.
Nobody spends that kind of money ...
I like how they broke down each section of different buildins into colors onto different servers. That distributes the computational power evenly so that it doesn't affect anything. Pretty cool stuff.
I am assuming that this game will be on Dedicated servers. Which is what all online games should be anyway. Especially some of these billion dollar publishers and devs (cough activision cough cough) that continue to push P2P (console server) online matches.

Seems like any game out always has assumptions and failure comments attached to it these days. I remain optimistic because the game looks great to me. It's far too early for any concrete judgements good or bad. It's safe to say if you like platinum games you will probably end up liking this.
You sound kind of angry about it but you don't like Gears anyway.. So why so much animosity? Don't get caught up in the band wagon crap.
Perhaps it was going to cost them more money to fix then they would have made off of it. You would think they could have just changed the blood to another color maybe? What do I know. I wasn't there for the situation.
Imagination is a huge catalyst to fear. Our imaginations can concoct all sorts of horrors. Perhaps some of the fear is lost when we can rationalize our way out of a situation or know exactly what we are dealing with. I notice when games/movies reveal the creatures or monsters out so blatantly (like in the open or in the light) it's less scary. If they mask it and leave it in the shadows where your imagination can run wild it's much more scary.
I'm an avid horror ...
Yes I'm sure EVERY xbox gamer hates indies. Sounds a bit ridiculous don't you think?
I guess all those dislikes means they hate Until Dawn. Im a horror fan. So I am a first day buy. I guess humor is not allowed in here.
I think Gamescom was pretty good. Definitely looking forward to a lot of games xbox showed. My plate is going to be too full the rest of the year and into next year on both consoles and PC.. need a part time job or something.
I can't wait to see that Until Dawn movie. Looks awesome. :p
No really I'm buying the game. Just playing along.
I kind of feel the same way about Conker as well. The look stick is backwards. The jump in Jet Force was bad though..
