No it was a marketing deal with Oculus since they are using the X1 controllers. The kit isn't even out yet. May be a little too early to assume but nobody is gonna buy the oculus for Xbox anyway. They will buy it for their PC.
I don't think MS is that interested in VR. Hololens has been pitched as more than just a gaming device. So its not really meant to compare.
There is no doubt if VR does takes off Sony will be at the front of the race on a consumer level. We just don't know much about how it wI'll end up. Price is a huge factor. Plus will it be something people will enjoy after repeated plays? Is it going to be mostly first person shooters and fp games only too? Lots of factors in ...
I don't agree with this, but I will say that the Wii U would look much more attractive to me if they lowered the price. I have wanted to pull the trigger on getting one but now I am wondering if they would allow Backwards compatibility on the NX. I have heard it's just a drive and not disc based but I can't imagine them doing that.
So many games to buy from Oct 9th on. I am going to be so broke...
Said no one ever. Its more like Best call of duty battlefield ever.
We're you talking to us or the mirror? ;)
Tanks pffft. My class is engineer and I always carry anti tank. Tanks are fun to destroy and easy.
@APexGamer45
It's possible I could be off, but why would I divide .53 by xbox tflops? Wouldn't I be doing it from the top TFLOPS which is PS4?
.53 is the difference of 1.84 which is the top sum of the highest number of both.
1.84 represents 100% of the full spectrum since PS4 has the most. Why would you use the smallest as a 100% percent?
Let's do some math.
PS4 1.84 Tflops
Xb1 1.31 Tflops
1.84 - 1.31 tflops = .53 tflops difference.
.53 /(divided by) 1.84 tflops = 0.2880434782608696
so just under 29% more power. Simple math. That's not comparing cpu either. Everyone knows the PS4 is more powerful, but it's not 40% more.
@jb
I guess that's fair but it's rather popular to hate a guy who has done more good than bad for the brand. Mostly and probably because he works for MS. I don't believe anything that comes out of any execs mouth. I always wonder why they are saying it. Of most execs I trust him more than ANY other exec at xbox. He for the most part doesn't take jabs at the competition and he does have to follow orders to a degree. Personally I appreciate that kind of effort m...
@jb227
I read an article written some time ago from the developer after I wrote this where it was stated that MS didn't want to share their servers with PS on this game. If the developer stated they wanted that then perhaps they (ms) don't want to share servers with their direct competitor. In which case that is "business".
Some people are spinning it like MS doesn't care about its fans or Phil is lying because they won't share with ...
Do we actually know for sure there isn't a contract for console exclusivity with the game already? It could mean that PS has a deal with it. I don't know for sure but I am just saying it's possible. We already know each console has their exclusives. So its not that far fetched.
Seems like any dramatization of actual events is never 100% like the real events that took place.
I happened to catch this earlier and watched about the tail end of it. Didn't seem bad, but I don't know all the facts.
Really debating on getting this on PC too. I wish Origin would let you buy it once and play wherever.
I know a lot of Halo fans that aren't the biggest 343 fans.. but I give them the benefit of the doubt. It looks pretty great.
Wow... That looks pretty amazing. Looks like Master Chief is alive and well in Halo 5. I know some people had their doubts but I guess we can set that aside now.
Interesting use of tactical teams too. I am actually pretty cool with this. I am sure when Co-op is working that will be replaced with live players. Although I thought it was only 4 player co op. I might be wrong.
I enjoyed the article and I feel like you spoke your mind. I see nothing wrong with that.
It's strange to me that the community would call this unprofessional when tons of critics are taking handfuls of cash for articles. Not only that but now people who are normally against censorship of any kind are now asking to tone down and sort of censor what your thoughts are.
Personally I feel you should do what you like. I like the cut of your jib.
@xKugo
Not that I agree with imapotato but you say "rubbing PlayStation's fans faces in the mud" as if PS fans have have it so rough this gen. It's been a nonstop bashing of xbox anything for years. All because it's not as popular or best selling. Someone's preference and enjoyment isn't based on sales to them.
While that may be true it would have been better to hear him say I like to game anywhere. Instead of pick a side. That would be a step in the right direction PR wise.
