Often times drivers are not updated for the programs that you use most. For example I am a music producer and I am still on 7 because some of the VST plug-ins on my computer have not been updated. Some programs are on top of updating drivers and some arent. If I were to switch to 10 I would lose functionality of programs I frequently use to make music. That's just one example.
I don't doubt that VR will get its biggest push initial from PSVR. When it hits the market I mean. However if the first party VR games they push are not spot on then it could somewhat damage it's image. There will definitely be enough 3rd party games to hold it up though. Im also not 100% sure the quality of the headset with current games only pushing 30fps. Not sure what this doubling of images will feel like with the VR mount on.
Like anything if you got the money ...
People who still fall for that boggle my mind.
No need for concern. Be it concern trolling or concern about having live segment's in the game. Games have story cutscenes in them. They are trying something a little new by putting both cutscenes and live TV. Remedy prides themselves on trying new things.
Also this Article is using hyperbole like "Major Concerns" to elicit fanboy rhetoric. I think it's far to early to damn a game and a developer who has a pretty great track record in story and gameplay.
@Mikes
I feel that if a game doesn't present it's story outright it is fair to judge it accordingly. GOTY has many categories including Story, Gameplay and Art Direction. If all those bases are not covered it can get overlooked. Bloodborne has amazing gameplay and art. Story is a bit of an after thought buried in the text of objects. Doesn't make Bloodborne a bad game. I still love it.
@volkama
That's how I took it for the most part but it did occur to me that this could also be outside ours too. Since the NSA is just fishing for info without the proper due process or probable cause. This is there way to let us know.
I hardly see this as being complacent. They are stating they are letting you know if someone was "attempting". It's good to know either way. Especially since I can't think of one company that does specifically alert you to a failed attempt. Edit: other than the 3 listed.
They said "attempts". So its not for after you have been hacked. It's more about people targeting you. Them letting you know that someone tried is more than most would tell you in the first place.
Well that's good to know. Not expecting any government to snoop around my things but it could always be a cyber criminal.
Oh that's right I'm getting confused with the Prequel. The prequel sequel is on sale for that with season pass.
It's fair to remain cautious with Ubi but I remain open to it being a great game. Although saying it will be crap in the comments is pretty easy to do. People around these parts eat up negativity.
I'm gonna remain positive because I want a good game.
OT though: I'm ok with the rating being adult. Interests me more. If this sort of game had a kid rating I would be less interested.
It's also on sale for Steam for like 21 bucks, That includes Season pass...
My buddy in Cologne does that all the time.
Even though you both are being silly... ARK really is that good. It's like crack. PS players are gonna love it when it releases on PS.
This gen has been all about party chat. I'm starting to wonder if games are getting cheap on the lobby chat anymore. Like they don't want to pay for chat servers or something. When they do have it in the game it barely works if at all. Is this them pushing people to use the consoles party chat? Feels like they are. Which is a shame since it takes away from some of the fun.
Genuine I was with you (to a degree) up until the part where you said "facade". When you say something like that. No matter what you say after it comes across as biased. I don't think anyone in the comments thinks for a second you don't prefer PS over Xbox and that's perfectly fine to have a preference. However, there is always that little extra jab always thrown in your comments to make people who enjoy things feel less entitled to their own preference. You make it seem...
@eonjay
"consumers buy what they want."
Yep which is why both consoles are selling millions. It's only fanboys who need a "winner" or to declare millions of consoles/games sold as a "failure".
I think it's important to remember that if you are a gamer then both have their fair share of enjoyable games. Sales and Metacritic scores are not exactly a reason to prevent or permit yourself to enjoy something. Some of my most favorite games weren't GOTY games. If you think a game has to be Number 1 in sales to enjoy... then we would all only play COD. We would also miss out on hundreds of great gems.
Don't let this single opinion piece get ya down. There are...
Nice to have so many options of how you want to use your controller. Regular AA bateries, rechargeable, packs, wired or super charged. This seems awesome and somewhat scary. Makes you think it will explode.
If I were you I would give your xbox one to someone who might appreciate games. Someone who doesn't look at the gaming machine as a Halo only console. It could be someone who isn't able to game at all. That way you could enrich a gamers life. I'm sure they could see the value of playing games.
