I don't know if the person who wrote that is MS. Just someone they pay to run the twitter. Just saying.
Congrats to N4G for making this top news...
I'm more curious how the orginal reboot sold at the end of last gen on 360 compared to the sequel for THIS gen. That would be a much better comparison.
Also this is VGchartz and I believe they only track physical sales of the game at that. Certainly not as horrible as people are hoping.
Congrats on both of you acting like each other you mean.
I think it's better if you don't give him views.
That's interesting that they did more xb1 optimization than PC. I guess the endless amounts of cpu GPU and ram variations on PC is hard to nail down though.
I'm happy people will get to play this but there is a lot of optimizing that this game needs still. It's working better than it was but still it's a rather big game even for PC. It's a cpu GPU hog for sure. I have a feeling this game will be 30 fps at most on consoles.probably less.
Still a great addicting game to dive into. Spent about 200 hours on it since it launched on steam. Super addicting. I hope they get it working smoothly. It's one of the most t...
Doom!
I prefer this over opinion pieces deliberately aimed at fueling the console war. Besides it's nice to know they are tweaking things that I wasn't aware of.
I feel like there are a couple reason people do this online.
1. Any negativity is easy to jump on and own even if you know nothing about it.
2. It's a timed exclusive. Exclusives bad.
3. Do I need to elaborate on the 3rd reason. I think we know.
Not a price cut. It's a sale. I've seen Fallout 4, Black Ops 3, Star Wars Battlefront and Assasins Creed Syndicate receive sales that went this low in the last week. It's called holiday sales.
Either way it's a great deal. Unless we just want to judge the game because it's on xbox first.
With twice the amount of console owners too. Let's not forget. So its a little different.
@King
They still can though. The Hololens developer posted a video of him playing Halo 5 via windows 10 on it. So its all still possible. They just want to market this thing as not just a gaming device. Especially since Kinect was widely used in the medical and tech field for many other thing other than games. So they want to make a device that is bigger than gaming only.
Seems like they feel this has much more practical uses and the don't want to be lim...
Well he said it can play games. Just not limited to.
The commercials they pushed out that same day were all business applications in the medical and design realm though. They probably wanted to show it can do anything and everything to get the word out for developers of all kinds. To get them thinking, developing and sell some dev kits.
I don't think they have a consumer price yet just a dev kit but yes this is designed for those types and notjust games. I kind of figured it was for more serious use when they announced it but everyone was convinced it would be in competition with vr. When they slapped a MS LOGO on it that's when I knew. If it had an Xbox logo it would have been different. Maybe we all just sort of hoped it would be just for games because we could see the possibilities.
In any case I ...
I'll bet preorders help determine such things. The earlier hyped preorders. Still it's a new IP so it may be very unlikely.
2% physical disc sold on PC. The digital age has been here for PC gamers for a long time.
I don't really see anything wrong with having both your consoles able to play your old games, after all if one breaks what do you do? It's not a bad thing. You already own them.
Backwards compatible, old games on new systems, emulated game and any other thing people want to call it. It's still an old game on an old console made compatible with a new gen console.
Regardless, people are getting too defensive over these articles. Hell if Xbox had done this from the start people would be all over it and picking it apart and there would be endless articles on it too. Just the way online is guys.
Suck it up and let Sony know how you ...
@hazard man
In other words. Not a top exec who makes calls on games coming to other competing platforms. Ya know like Phil spencer. I'm sure he is busy with his own twitter.
I looked for a person by the name "Microsoft Studios" in the employment log. Turns out that's just a name of a blog and probably run by some kid who gets paid to do social media. Yes paid by MS but not Phil spencer. Smart astronaut.
