I don't know whats worse. The bad reviews or the people who will never play the game CONSTANTLY posting it's failings.
We get it.
I guess it depends what you focus on more. Seems a lot of people are focusing on the few bad reviews instead of the many good ones. One guy called 4 reviews "heaps of poor scores" disregarding the 63 positive ones.
Well they would never write "we did so because click bait ya know" haha
@gosuk
Its possible. I'm like 30 some percent through. I have been actively looking for secrets though. Making sure I get everything. There have been great short games though. The story really is compelling.
"There's a whole heap of low scores"
So now 4 low scores is a heap?
Even Duke nukem wasn't all that bad. It was just late. I had fun playing it.
Yeah I don't know where people are saying that. I've been playing for 4 hours and I have been expecting this horrible game because of some of the 4 out of 10 review scores. The story is great and the game play is bananas. The game is a trip. I was also expecting the worst from the TV parts and surprisingly they are done really well. The acting is actually really good. So far I'm confused at the low scores. It seems like some people are being overly critical about stuff.
@the saint
Oh shite! You are right! It's that Copley fella. Well I love him too but still. The show wasn't that good.
I love David Tennant but the show was meh... it was so so.
@MiyaMoto
Actually there are more than those 2. There are several. Including those who actually play the game and those who have actually played the game (or intend to) and those who dont. Play the game and then have a real opinion or just parrot all the negatives to act like you know everything.
It's like saying you think a movie is good or bad without actually seeing the movie. At least play the game first.
There are many games ported from PC that say ping and other dedicated tags but it's still peer 2 peer. Even listen servers say you are connected to their server and that's peer 2 peer.Such as COD. So im sorry if I was wrong. If this is dedicated then I hope they fix it because it ain't acting like dedicated.
Obviously it's not performing like dedicated or people wouldn't have so many problems and thinking it's p2p. Don't shoot the messenger for t...
So the game play is amazing. Good to know.
The article kind of goes off the rails a bit about many other things though. Probably trying to stir the fanboy pot.
@dudebro
Calm down bro. I only assumed it was because I was getting shot around corners. Which is typically a peer 2 peer thing. If it's dedicated then I guess it's really bad then. Rubber banding for days and not many dedictated servers.
Even still if it's dedicated each platform uses Bethesdas servers so there would be absolutely no difference in game play between platforms.
Should we really be scoring games in beta? Sure make points about what you like or dislike but scoring is unnecessary. We are only seeing a small portion of the entire game aND a small portion of the MP part at that. I would go on the forums and post there to help address some of these concerns or last minute additions.
@Rachel
I'm not saying it's just like any other 3rd person shooter. Miyamotto is comparing all these games to one another. Nobody else was.
Nobody is taking away from TLOU as a great game but if Miyamoto is gonna compare every 3rd person shooter game to use against QB then comparisons are gonna be made. Specifically that QB is not a cover shooter game technically but technically is a 3rd person shooter. It's been said that you shouldn't even...
The game is using Peer 2 Peer. Which means the games are hosted on the console host or pc host. Which means the servers use listen servers to matchmake people to host a game on a person's single console or PC. This is across the board on every platform. Which relys solely on the hosts connection to play a match.
I wish it were dedicated servers for this game but I don't think we will see that. Still a great game and MP experience IMO.
I've played and own all those games you mentioned and they were good games but we played those first before coming to any conclusion. So how can you or I say what QB is without playing it first?
I love TLOU but it wasn't exactly risking anything. It was just great story telling, acting and the mechanics were pretty good but nothing exactly new in cover shooter mechanics. It's pretty typical for cover shooters.
@fox
The game hasn't blown up in their face though. The article even states people need to chill on their hyperbole doom.
On metacritic
55 positive reviews
14 mixed reviews
And only 2 negative reviews
Total 78 avg.
The same score that Heavy Rain got. That's not a bad game either but I guess that game blew up in their face now too for not taking enough risk? QB seems like it has way mor...
The order is the only one of those games that was good. The rest were kind of boring.
