Sorry man. I disagree with a lot of what you said. Nothing is all that simple and I'm not blinded with passion about it. If 10 yr Olds can figure out how to make a game run it cannt be that bad. Plus not every game is broken on PC. Just a few games have real issues. Simple adjustments make it smoother or prettier. Thats it.

Well of course there is going to be configuration issues because it's next to impossible to Co figure every single gpu cpu ram configuration for each game. The combinations are endless. So it make it more of a user configuration to fix. Which yeah is frustrating for some. However more and more people learn through trial and error what works best for these situations as they game on PC.

It's always been a single player experience to me. I still don't appreciate being called a liar. I wasn't lying. I simply didn't remember it. You seem very upset about this game. Maybe you should go play the old games and stop whining. NOTHING is ever going to be the same as you remember. If you want that go back and play the old games.
They have quad and the yellow one that shoots faster in the game. I hope they have deathmatch for sure. If you go to your "Profile" and then "statistics" it gives you an idea of the MP modes in the beta.

I must have forgotten about that. I don't remember it in the original Doom. I looked up and saw that they had it for DOOM 2 and I remembered Doom 3. That's crazy though. I remember getting DOOM for my PS1 and I didn't even know you could lan with those.

I personally see PC gaming growing faster and faster. It's inevitably going to be where hardcover gamers go to. Especially if they worry about resolution and frames so much. When you have that much control and that much of a library of games to bring with you it becomes your primary collection place.
Or some people have their own opinions. Having errors is a valid concern. As someone want to play it but cant. Doom is mostly a single player game. We have not played that portion yet. Although inknow some have.
Some people are trying to catagorize this game as QUAKE and all the rules that apply to that game. It's not Quake and even when Doom 3 had Multiplayer people tore it up for not being this and that back then too.
As far as the MP aspect of the game...
Well these are reviews of the actual Beta. Not the full game. It's a separate page all together. Which is probably a good thing though I'm sure that will carry over into the games reviews once it's launched. I think it's still pretty nit picky crap to whine about a game not being 100% Quake. The original doom I don't even remember there ever being MP. Only in Doom 3 which some people had issue with as well.

That's exactly what it is. It's like they are saying "why can't this be Quake?" Doom is mostly a single player game. I personally don't mind the MP at all.
Those people are whining about quite a lot though. Little stuff too.
It's sarcasm. Meaning Xbox is nowhere near the 40+ million that PS4 has.

I wasn't doing it last Gen either so it seems much worse to people like us. I didn't even get on the forums last gen and had I seen that type of behavior I would be telling them the same. I enjoy all my platforms. Too bad one of them also happens to be Xbox. I guess I deserve it for enjoying something I like. Didnt know it would be attached with a long string of BS politics. Guess I'll just stop enjoying things I like and pick one side... :(

IMO If you haven't found a reason yet you never will. This Gen I wasn't gonna be sad I couldn't play games so I got both and still game on PC too. Win win win.

The amount of PS4s then vs now in the UK are still more than Xbox then and now. So what is the difference? If there are millions more PS4 console owners vs Xbox console xbox able to buy a game on a system.. then it is wrong to not point that out.
