You just literally linked the same thing as the guy in the article, a redacted photo on twitter.

I thought the link was actual profit reports from Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo, from the link/article that you yourself shared :-

"However, it's worth noting that these figures don't tell the whole story. Most platform holders like Microsoft and Sony usually sell consoles at a loss, yet these numbers only take into account profits from game sales....

The profit this article is referring to, is purely off games and services, with Sony being the industry leader in games, i would be surprised if Microsoft beat them.

This also does not deduct losses from hardware R&D/sales :-

"Keep in mind that the profit listed above doesn’t include any losses offset for the hardware. This was explained by Niko Partner Analyst Daniel Ahmed."

So until we get official earnings/profit report...

Sony fans "I'm even more worried about this game now, it points to developmental issues"

Xbox fans "can't wait till launch, Halo Infinite is not going to disappoint"

Not sure, looks like $70 is inclusive of any taxes (apart from shipping)

Games were still $60 in the 80's and 90's, game developers/publishers are making more profit than they ever have, all by sticking to the same price point.

$70 or £70 games, is exactly what people are calling it greed, accept that now, and then in a few years they will see if they can get away with $80

@BlackRiderRazil

I completely agree, i have never paid £70 for a game in the UK, and i never will.

"So games priced same in real terms as they were back in 2010 would cost roughly £72 in todays money"

But in today's money, they are still £39.99, £49.99, or top end £59.99.

Like i said, same price range they have been since the Super nintendo/mega drive era, can not speak for US $ prices, but pretty sure they were $60 for SNES/$50 for mega drive, which is exactly the same cost as today's games.

Oh i get you can have weather effects and animated trees etc, but they are not "next-gen" graphics, they are physics systems.

R&C, returnal etc i would class as next-gen graphics wise, not minecraft.

The only thing Series/PS5 will have over any other version is Raytracing, everything else will be available on vanilla platforms.

(PS - the "super duper graphics pack") was slated for last-gen, not next-gen.

Sorry to be that guy, but how can you have "next-gen" graphics on Minecraft? I get they are working on RT, but there is only so much you can do with squares.

Just when you think you have heard everything, you come across this heap of s*&t.

Saying that, it could have some weight, i was looking for digital codes for MLB the show on Amazon, and could not find one for PS5, but i could for the Series X, the Series X digital code was £59.99, whereas the PS5 copy was £69.99.

All in all, pretty sure it is not something they can be sued for.

"you only needed to read this article you comment on to see you are incorrect and those are last gen games that added +10$ for the "next gen" version."

I referenced £70 (i thought this would explain i am talking about UK pricing as we are the only country that uses GBP)

I will try and help, seeing as you think games have added £10 for "next-gen" versions of "last-gen games" :-

I only see all PS5 1st/2nd party at £70, the rest are the same price as normal £60 or less. Here take a looksy :-

Exactly, especially when the US only pay $70, at the current exchange rate, that should be £50.39

1881d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

In the UK, the price of PS5 games £70, is indeed that $100.

1881d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

Not sure, i have always paid around the same price for games for any console, between £49.99-£59.99 in the UK, even in the 360 era, the pricing in the UK has been quite static for a good few years now.

1881d ago 1 agree4 disagreeView comment

Sadly that is the case for all Sony PS5 1st/2nd party games in the UK, they are all £69.99.

@mkis007

"The ssd is about more than just load times...you will get it eventually."

And the Series SSD is more than just load times lol, see, you just proved my entire point, do you think the PS5 SSD is magically different to the Series SSD?

What is Ratchet going to show, that a game on the Series can not do?

Can i just ask, what is the point of a "favour framerate" mode for the PS5? When it is the only console which is the same framerate as "favour quality"?

Wouldn't everyone just go with the quality mode?

Have you just arrived on earth?

For some reason i read your comment in an 80's robotic voice....

"Shouldn't this have been a launch feature? Not something that comes 6 months after."

You mean like external HDD/SSD support?
