@drunkenspy007

You severely lack the intelligence for an adult conversation, so i am not even going to grace you with a discussion.

Options, is not poor design.

"No, most of us are intelligent to realize switching out batteries is so multi gen ago."

You really need to think before you attempt an argument. No xbox gamer "switches out batteries", here i'll help you along the way, it is called a rechargeable battery pack :-

Yeah when you use the introductory offer, all memberships convert with a 1:1 ratio.

I took the offer of £1 for 3 months, so it converted my remaining xbox live gold at 1:1, and then added 3 months extra on top.

The same would apply for anything already redeemed gamepass/gold/eaplay

That is why i said it is not a direct conversion (after subbing).

Once you have subbed, even if you let your subscription run out, you can not take the £1 offer, it is for new subs only.

"After you join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can continue to redeem Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass codes. These codes will automatically convert to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate based on the following conversion table. Conversion ratio subject to change."

It is not a direct conversion, 12 months gold will convert to 4 months Ultimate (after subbing).

I took advantage of this as my gold ran out in June 2021, so i upgraded to ultimate for £1, and now the...

A product that is deemed "new" is something that is not currently on the market.

If they release a different coloured console/controller heck even a new coloured car, it is still a "new" product.

Definition of new for the masses :-

1. produced, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time; not existing before.

So yes it does not need to have any changes at all. It is still a new pr...

I do not think drunkenspy007 has been introduced to the rechargeable battery era, if they still think anyone on the planet uses disposable batteries to power an xbox controller lmao.

i am still using the same play and charge kit i bought for the original xbox one, and have also just invested in a docking station, no disposables required, just stick the entire controller on the station for charging.

@drunkenspy007

"This still uses disposable batteries right? That's a step back from anything next gen..."

You mean as opposed to a sealed unit, where if failure occurs you need a new controller? Your ok fella, give me disposables all day. And to add, pretty much no xbox gamer uses disposable batteries.

Design lab, once up and running, you could put white thumb sticks in yourself.

2002d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Regardless, still a new controller on the market.

If they launch a black DS5, would you call that a new color variant? Or a new controller?

2002d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

I personally can not wait for the design lab to be back up and running to create my new custom xbox controller!!

Exactly, add that to the fact that i think it highly unlikely for fans of a console to send threats just because they are out of stock.

Lets stop calling these people a "team behind custom ps5 plates" and label them what they truly are.

Scammers.

I have just looked into this a bit further, and this is plain as day a scam.

Could Sony have put pressure on the company? possible but highly unlikely.

All affiliation to this company has now been deleted, twitter account etc, so anyone that has not yet got a refund, i think you may now have lost out.

2003d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I would say there is one of 2 scenarios at play here :-

1) Sony filed a lawsuit, and the company created a false "excuse" for the reason of cancelling pre-orders. (possible, but highly unlikely)

2) This was a scam from the start to skim credit card details, and the company created a false "excuse" for the reason of cancelling pre-orders. (most likely scenario seeing as any affiliation to this company has now been deleted, twitter accou...

@potatoseal

"SONY need to come out and offer people options to customize their PS5's. It's just plastic covers, what are they waiting for?"

It makes business sense to sell as many base consoles as possible, before releasing "alternatives." Once they can keep shelves stocked and the sales stabilise, they will put one on the market with custom plates. If they do it now, everyone will wait on the custom one.

@utopiancat

So has the company passed these "threats" on to the authorities?

I call BS and a fake reason to cancel all pre-orders. No one knows who the "team members" are, so how can there be a credible threat to their "safety"?

2003d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I would say you are bang on Neonridr, that is why the company have cited the threats as "credible".

I would say a lawsuit was filed, just like against the other company a few months back.

2003d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Could have guessed this was coming, expect this from all suppliers of custom plates until Sony either announce theirs, or license these suppliers.
