Smurf Racer looks rad!!!

Loved Smurf's Nightmare back in the day, it had an eerie soundtrack though.

Smurfs are scary.

That statement you quoted refers to the APU in general, not the CPU side of things. PS4's APU is no doubt very powerful (given that GPU especially), but the actual Jaguar CPU inside the APU is seemingly a weaker element to it.

It'd definitely be modified to fit PS4 (it's 8 cores for example so if developers take advantage of that it should be good) and be optimised, but its CPU is still derived from the Jaguar architecture, a successor to BobCat and competitor to ...

Ninja Gaiden: Razor's Edge was published by Nintendo and the announcement that it was coming to other platforms came a fair few months after its release.

Agreed that it's Ubisoft's fault, though someone is undeniably pulling the strings here (there's no real reason why Ubisoft would delay the Wii U version).

The article says it only shows a November 23 release date when Flash is not enabled - I see the reported advert on my phone which does not support flash and Firefox with flash disabled through the add-ons menu

@jaosobno - I do. I'm excited because it's based off a fairly modern design (of a 2011 chip rather than the rumoured 2009 chip from last year's leaks), and it supports OpenCL. It's modern tech, and it's power efficient, allowing Wii U to operate at a mere 40 watts and exist within a tiny box.

And the performance of a 4850 is more than what most have been expecting from Nintendo, a bit like how Nintendo have dedicated an entire 1GB to the Wii U's operat...

Oh wow, I'm so excited about it now!

This. From what I understand it's basically optical Blu Ray, just as Wii discs were optical DVDs.

I agree about the Vita's Start/Select buttons, they are harder to press and in an odd location, shame.

Everything else is good, though, I like how the buttons (and D-Pad) in general are now clicky like the 3DS ones.

Should do, there's no reason for them not to release it as a PS Minis game as well (thus instantly making it a PSP/Vita/PS3 title).

No problem - many thanks for pointing out my error, I'm really sorry about that. (I had to laugh at my stupidity when I tested the borked link though)

Thanks so much for pointing this out - urgh, can't believe I made this error. I've reuploaded the article here with the correct link in place: http://n4g.com/news/1043140...

Gah! Really sorry about this. Is there any way I can request for this to be removed and a newer version to be approved? Here's the actual link: http://3dstribe.com/news/ve...

The worst screen was only due to the massive price cut though, so it's all good.

If you read the article they mention the screen issue shows up on Flare Red, Coral Pink, Ice White models, so more than 2.

I agree with you there. These days graphics are so good that it'd be great if extra power were focused into improving AI, depending on the game of course (there are some games out there with great AI, similarly there are some games where less processing power has gone into AI)

Don't forget Wave Race: Blue Storm on the 'Cube. It was developed by Nintendo Software Technology Corporation though, rather than in-house in Japan.

But the Dualshock wasn't the default controller on the PS1 - the two analogues followed N64's controller. PS1's original controller closely resembled the SNES/Play Station controller from the days when Sony collaborated with Nintendo on the system (back when it was a SNES CD add-on).

Nintendo may not have been first to have an analogue controller stick input method, but they implemented it in the first way where it was meaningful and changed the way gaming in a tr...

Indeed, it was amazing how 3DS has outsold GameCube in just over 9 months, wouldn't have predicted it a few months ago when everyone was in doom and gloom mode!

Agreed, it'll probably happen when the redesigned 3DS arrives (like when Sony changed the PS3 boxart spines to coincide with the PS3 Slim)
