PP, RFOM was not crap for a Launch title, what did the 360 have as a launch title? My launch 360 came with PDZ and guess what? it ran at a native 640P..lol
People shouldn't compare RFOM with GeOW, since GeOW nearly came out a year after launch.
Oh and Sir Ken Kutaragi, GeOW was a great game and I'm looking forward to the 2nd installment
I'd say RROD is got to be the worst out of the two. Microsoft should have sorted this out months ago.
One of my launch 360's RROD on me just over two months ago, sent it in and got back a shiny new one, but after looking at the back of the console found out, going by the date, they sent me another launch unit and guess what? Its not RRODing but a single red light keeps appearing everytime I turn it on, so its not covered.

I was forgetting about the price of a HDTV to add to the equation.
Also I think it was a shame about HD-DVD, it was a great idea to have both DVD and HD-DVD on a single disc. Its a pain now that the new movies I buy on Blu-Ray, I can't just take it upstairs and watch it on my DVD player in my bedroom.
I remember when DVD first came out. My first DVD player (pioneer) cost me around £500 ($1000) and DVD's were £20-£25 ($40-$50) each, but they soon caught on. Plus taking into account that £20-£25 was a lot of money them days.
What was the screen rez of VHS? I bet there is a bigger jump in screen rez from DVD to Blu-Ray, than there was between VHS and DVD

Most PS2 fans like the GTA games, but also they are fans of God of war, FF, GT and MGS. Why would PS2 owners get the 360 console just for GTA and not play their favorite games?

Yes the PS3 version is only 640p, but if people actually read what Quaz51 (the guy who finds out this kind of stuff) said in the forums, he said with the processing effects applied to the PS3 version makes it look better.

Ok, this is my take on it.
As I have the PS3 version and my son has the 360 version, I did a little check myself on each and this is what I think.
PS3 version
Good points: Slightly better colours, quite a bit better lighting, little to no popins and faster load times
Bad points: No AA whats so ever and blurry as hell.
Xbox 360 version
Good points: AA (around 2x i guess), quite a bit sharper

And yes I've seen both running today in my local Tesco's (UK). The 360's popins are really f**king annoying, ruins the whole game play.

The reviewer said that the 360 was better in the main review, but as a foot note he went on to say this:
"If this were a personal decision, I'd have chosen the PlayStation 3 edition, mostly based on my preference for the DualShock controller and the performance edge"

PS3 isn't the gimped version, Quaz51 even said the PS3 version is the better one in the graphics department and this guys a graphics guru (you know, the guy that found out about the PS3 version being 640P).

Have you even seen the PS3 version playing on a good 1080P LCD screen, or are you still comparing low grade website videos? ...
