like DJ said, a lot of people still don't have internet connections or only have wifi (which isn't built in on the box) from the apartment complex, school, multi-family home or haven't had the parents hard wire their console.
The same can be said about the Sony camp, boasting nearly 17 million users with 14+ million accounts. that 3 million is in the same boat as MS's...

Yes, I know there is a big world outside of gaming but what is Microsoft pushing with this NXE? What is their marketing goals and what are they telling everyone about the features that you can do with NXE, that's what I was pointing out.
Now basically what I got out of what you said is since the only thing you can do is play games, it's a gaming machine. Once you have access to the other features that the Xbox offers then it's more than a gaming machine.

and if you are being accurate and technical, sony's last posted was like 16.7 or 16.8 but who likes to play with decimals.
But I also believe that marketing is one division that Sony is trying to cut to save money.
I didn't think about this until this morning, but how many "Microsoft spurs largest marketing campaign for "insert product here". They are tossing 100+ million to market a single product and are making it back with big sales.

Kinda sucks to be honest, especially on how heavy it was touted. Granted it was a new IP and granted Fallout was multi-console but LBP should have been higher.
