The proof is right here: exclusive software matters. Xbox fans continue to believe that it's mostly about power, but that's not true. Switch wouldn't be doing so well, and PS4 wouldn't be up YoY over both 2015 and 2016, because people would simply put off altogether for X.

I find it ironic that Xbox fans are constantly bringing up Forza's single player when, with every other game, you all talk about how single player is worthless, and multiplayer GaaS is the way of the future. So which is it?

Pretty solid numbers when you consider this started out as a DLC. If it has similar sales legs to UC4, it should be able to sell 3+ million, easily in its lifetime.

@DJK1NG That's Bethesda though; they don't have anything to worry about if their games are a commercial failure on the Switch. Not every company is going to have that mentality. If they're going to take the time to make use of hardware, they're gonna want to make sure they're at least gonna get their money's worth; otherwise, they might just stick with the communities that they know are going to support their titles. I'm talking more along the lines of AAA titles that are available on other platforms like DOOM, Skyrim, and Wolfenstein. We've already seen how badly huge franchises like FIFA and NBA have done on the system. I'm not saying it's impossible; just very unlikely, based off of Nintendo's sales history with Western third party titles. It doesn't need to be said that these games will sell significantly better on competing consoles.

Perfect combo honestly. I haven't been big on Nintendo for years, but Switch is great and makes a perfect secondary console to PS4 Pro. I don't really care about having the best hardware, as long as the games I play are great. No need for a Xbone with these two.
Most likely. Despite Switch's sales success, and some third parties getting on board, it's still very up in the air whether third party software sales will be high on the system.
Basically nothing, unless you are really into a casual NFS-wannabe and don't have a decent PC to play it on.

NFS 2015 wasn't too bad.
For an earlier PS360 title, it was still a pretty good size, especially for how good it looked. Then they added Paradise Island and made pretty big.
Believe me, I want to play it, as it looks really good. The debate is just spending the money at launch, when I probably won't even get around to playing it until some time next year lol
