I can only see this metric used for games like Quantum Break or The Order, where the game is fairly short and offers little to no replay value upon completion.
Too much work, and very little reward when Nintendo devices make up only 1% of the sales for big western multiplats.
Western Third party doesn’t need Nintendo. They haven’t needed them in decades.
Sony never tried to form a literal monopoly in the gaming industry by bullying third party, treating overseas markets as second class gamers, strong arming reatailers into only selling their products, and abusing the power of a monopoly by maintaining high price for gaming products several years after they’ve released. Has Sony been arrogant? Yes, but they’ve never anything even close to the greed levels that Nintendo has. Not knocking Nintendo’s games, or their contribution to the gaming mar...
BO4’s Battle Royale mode is going to be extremely successful, regardless of what some people are saying. I seriously doubt it’s gonna hurt Fortnite, but 10’s of millions will play it, simply because it’s CoD, and it’s something new.
So it’s basically what it should’ve been at launch?.. Way to go Hello Games...
Nintendo did some corrupt and aggressive ass shit. No matter though; they got theirs when the PlayStation came onto the scene and completely wrecked the N64, showing the arrogant pricks at Nintendo that their attempts at a console gaming monopoly had failed. Long live Playstation for making the console gaming industry so awesome.
To each their own. Year after year, CoD gets criticized for being more of the same. This is easily the most massive change in franchise history, and now people are criticizing it for changing. I’m willing to give it a chance, just to see what it’s all about.
Heavy Rain has a 92.
No SP kindof sucks, but the BR mode with vehicles sounds sick. I wonder what the player count is going to be?
Why so far off? I haven’t seen an Xbox logo anywhere for the game. :P
That, and the majority of X purchases are from prior Xbone/ Xbone S users.
We’ll call it a mutual relationship. Kindof a mute point either way, because neither are going away anytime soon.
You must not have been around much last gen lol
Don’t think I ever saw as much about praising sales and metascores as much as 360 fans did. Shoes on the other foot, and by god is it glorious lol
Assuming they don’t release before next E3. I guess that’s a safe expectation, but it would be awesome to see them before lol
I honestly feel like reviews like this are more insulting to Xbone over all, rather than helpful. Does the reviewer actually believe this is better than Halo 5, Gears 4, Cuphead, Ori, or any of the Forza’s? Different genres, I know, but their claim covers those.
The whole point is it’s a start to its own unique story line. Granted, it could’ve easily had a subtitle, but this short and to the point. Kindof a minor nitpick, seeing as the game looks amazing, regardless. If you’re gonna play the game anyway, then why complain?
I can totally understand why Spider Man is Sony’s big poster game for E3 this year, but I still would’ve liked to see TLoU2 or DS up there.
My best guess would be it’s the cartridge format. More expensive to produce, but then again I somehow doubt the costs of porting DKTF over was all that expensive, even with the added Funky Mode.
Yeah, but as much I liked The Order, there’s no denying it was incredibly short, and offered little on the replayability front outside of a very easy trophy list/ finishing the game on a harder difficulty. Point is, it’s an example where this metric should’ve been used because it should’ve never had a $60 price tag at launch. Guaranteed it would’ve fared better on the review/ sales front if it was cheaper.
