Well... I remember feeling extremely dissapointed after watching their presser last year, and I’ve felt dissapointed with my Xbone ever since, so... Yeah, I guess they did.
Whatever though. Just got my gaming laptop that puts X to shame. I’ll be playing any worthwhile Xbox exclusives on that, and sell the Xbone S finally.
Just preordered this on PS4. Super stoked to play it. Been a long time coming since Operation Genesis.
Maybe I got the year wrong. All I know is there was a Nintendo E3 in the later half of the Wii cycle that was just god awful.
Well for starters, that was a pretty damn good trailer. Second, these next few days are a countdown; no reason for Sony to announce huge AAA exclusives when the main conference is at the end of all this.
Who’d have ever thought a trailer for Tetris, of all games, could be this amazing. Gotta love how all these people that will never buy a PS4 or PSVR are “dissapointed” lol
Smash and Pokemon are sounding good. I might pick up MP4 if Nintendo does a remastered collection of the first 3, since I never played them. But yeah, honestly Switch feels extremely dry if you have no interest in Wii U ports.
It was a few things:
Price tag, severe game downgrades from the previous E3, lack of heavy hitting exclusives, lack of good third party support, Sony didn’t beta test the cell processor, no online network for several months, etc etc...
I loved my PS3, but for sure it had one of the most F-ed up launches of any popular console brand. Really goes to show how great Sony is the industry though; PS3 bled them out 10’s of billions of dollars, but they persever...

If the Wii didn’t appeal to every 5 year old/ grandparent, then it would’ve been an utter failure. That motion control gimmick went a long way until the whole fad died a few years later.
Every company has their bad moments. I would honestly say Nintendo’s 2010 E3 was waaay worse than Sony’s 2006 E3.
@Imalwayswrong Ok? But did Sony ever own the IP to that game? Was it regustered under their ownership? Was it developed on a Sony-owned engine?
@Imalwayswrong I’ve seen you multiple times claiming it’s going to PC, but you constantly fail to explain how the game can be running on a Sony-owned engine, but somehow Sony does not own the rights
Switch actually seems to be slowing down quite a lot in the US.

That’s a very confusing statement, considering they own both the IP and the engine it is running on. Either the info is false, or outdated.
@getback Because Switch. Nintendo should go all in on Switch, especially if their third party offerings aren’t going to be all that great.
Discontinue it, no, but they should definitely stop making games for it soon.
Makes sense. 3DS is over 7 years old now. I just hope Nintendo is smart and focuses all their portable development on Switch, instead of making another dedicated portable.
@Venom You’re likely not going to see heavy hitting PS4 titles on Now until after PS5 launches. I seriously doubt Sony is going to do with Now what MS is doing with GamePass. It’d be good for the service for sure, but I think Sony is content with it being a supplementary way for people to enjoy PS3 games on PS4/ PC.
So have many other games in the past, but a lot of them still offered a complete experience at launch. 4 1/2 years of development, and only offering 3 fetch quests and chasing around chickens is absolutely pathetic.
