F*CK. A. DUCK!!! I was praying to god for a September date! My ass will be at Paris Island October 8th. SH*T!!! I hate you so damn much Insomniac. Taking your sweet damn time to come out with something that should've been released a year ago.
Watch. The special "surprise" that us NA fans are getting is going to be some BS demo for that worthless pos, Overstrike. F*ck you Insomniac. You're a completely worthless dev now, anyways.
@YodaCracker Actually, Both Sony and Nintendo released the sales figures of last year, and PS3 was ahead of 360 by about 300K units. The only reason why VGChartz showed otherwise was because MS suddenly threw out a shipped figure, and VGChartz tallied them as sales. Funny. Whenever Sony releases shipped numbers (Uncharted 3), it's total BS, but when Microsoft does it, it's totally legit. Kindof proves just how reliable VGChartz, considering it's founder is an Xbot who got kicked o...
Fun Fact: It's easy to make a profit when you're console is cheaply made, and you use the money gained from the 2 or 3 big name titles you have and only put it into advertising, timed exclusitivity, or cheap once-in-a-blue-moon interface updates, rather that putting it into developing first party studios and games(where it actually counts for something). Microsoft has only turned a profit this gen because they've focused on nothing but screwing over the hardcore audience, not beca...
Guys, I bought the game, and after playing it for a while now, I can safely say a lot of these reviews are being VEEEERY overcritical. The game is actually a fairly good start for FPS on Vita. The controls are more than functional, actually they're pretty damn good. The graphics are decent for what might as well be a launch title for new hardware. The story isn't groundbreaking, but it's solid enough to get by. The game isn't a 5/10, and certainly not a 2. At worst it's a ...
I'm looking forward to Last of Us, Dust 514, God of War: Ascension, new Infamous, new Killzone, PS All Stars, and mabye Aliens.
Pretty much, whatever Sony is unveiling is my focus. ;)
Hollywood shouldn't be allowed to make any films based off video games, or classical franchises in general. They take over the product as if it was their own original creation, and then proceed to ravenously butcher the hell out of it to the point where it doesn't even resemble it's origins. They have to throw in some sort romantic, comedic, or deep political elements until it's to their "liking", and actual fans are left with a steaming pile of crap. These hollywood...
Is it just me, or does this site have a bit of a nasty tendency to try and reel in hits from angered PS fans, once in a while. I mean, sure, they generally give good scores to PS3 exclusives, but once in a while they do something like this and the GR review.
Something tells me that this is another, "let's nitpick the Vita for not having HD console quality titles, Day 1" BS that alot of reviewers seem to be throwing at the Vita, at the moment. Oh well. I'v...
Funny story: I do actually own a Vita, and I think it's an awesome little device. I'm just being realistic, but I could be wrong. I don't think it can quite match console quality. I'm basing that solely on the fact that while games like Golden Abyss and Unit 13 look absolutely fantastic for portables, they still don't quite match the quality of games like Uncharted 3 or Starhawk. I'm sure that one day, a competent dev will come a long and fully utilize the hardware fo...
The VITA could handle it, but probably not at the same level as the PS3/360 versions. They might have to remove some effects, tone down a few textures here and there, etc., but the differences would still be minimal at worst and the experience in itself would still be awesome.
I can't wait to see the co-op and the very potential Horde type mode in action. I am very curious as to whether there will be a competitive MP aspect, and if so, how would it work?
The day the Trophy system appeared was a very interesting one, and probably the biggest firmware update ever on PS3. We could finally access the XMB while in-game as well, and it was just awesome at the time.
First trophy: Hero of Segoma (SSDHD)
First Platinum: Uncharted: Drakes fortune :)
*cough* VITA *cough cough*
Kratos is already confirmed and has even been shown, as well as Parappa, Sly, Radec, Fat Princess, and Sweet Tooth, so there's no need to throw any of those in.
This is a pretty decent list, but I hope Superbot has all of these and then some. There's a lot of potential here for more characters, and as long as the game has a good core roster, there's even more potential in DLC.
Wow, disagree ratio shows how infested this site is with Nintendrones.
You all act like I insulted Nintendo somehow. This is just calling it the way I see it from a guy who was once a huge Nintendo fan in the days of the N64. Nintendo has fallen a lot in terms of what they've actually added to the industry in recent years. That's pretty much a fact.
As for this IP recognition BS that people love to spread, how's this. The only Nintendo chara...
These specifications are absolutely insane. Unfortunately, it would mean an extremely high price tag for the system, but Sony would have to worry about even thinking of a new console for at least 15 years. I highly doubt this is real, but my god, would it be awesome.
this game looks fantastic. I'm still a little bummed that it's not on PS3, but I'm very glad that the Vita is getting support with some very good games. All in all, the game has an 86 on Metacritic, which, considering that the highest on PSP was a 91, is amazing.
Nintendo has played it too safe throughout their history. They've stuck to what they know (their first party), which has proven to be very useful to them, but at the same time, most of their innovation was brought to the industry 15+ years ago. They really havn't done much since, but it's proven to work for both themselves and their fans with the Wii, so more power to them. They simply havn't been a hardcore gaming company since the beginings of the N64.
So...
I somehow doubt it, but on the off chance that it's true, I can't blame Sony. They're providing with a stable cost-free experience, and networks as big as PSN can be pretty friggin expensive sometimes, so they have to make money somehow.
Better than a PAID network that makes you watch ads. *cough* XBL *cough cough*
I can see where the concerns are, but the problem is that this special system is one of the few major details that makes this game unique from Smash Bros. If it used the same knockout system, the game would recieve even more hate for being a "ripoff" by the losers who aren't even going to play it, and there's already enough of that as is. Personally, I do hope there is some type of standard knockout mode, but if it's just this, those of us planning to buy the game will s...
Let's compare Vita's first few months to 3DS's first few months: Vita get's games like Uncharted: GA, Unit 13, Resistance: Burning Skies, and Gravity Rush. 3DS get's Mercenaries 3D, Steel Diver, Cartoon Network SSB, and Pilot Wings resort. I think it's obvious which lineup is better.
Point? Give Vita some time you nitpicking @$$holes.
