Don't underestimate the stupidity of Nintendrones. I recently had one telling me the 3DS was more powerful than PS3 because the CPU was newer, and he meant every word of it... True Story.
He also tried to tell me that 3DS ran Crysis on High settings at 20 FPS. Nintendrones aren't exactly the brightest when it comes actual gaming machines vs. children's play toys.
People always say that (and they're generally Xbox fans who used to believe the 360 to actually be more powerful), but they never can seem to back it up with actual examples. This is the game that core Sony fans have wanted for a very long time now. Mabye the characters are not "iconic" in the sense that some old fart walking through a video game section in a store won't recognize Nathan Drake in the same he'd probably recognize Mario, but more so in the fact that these characters are iconic to the millions upon millions of people who have played these respective franchises, and really, that's what actually counts in the end.
And here goes Edge, continuing their game of waiting for Sony exclusive Metascores to settle, and then writing a BS review that intentionally tries to lower said metascore.

At the end of the day, is $250 really that much for a handheld system as powerful as the Vita? Look at the history of price tags with new hardware: PSP - $400, PS3 - $500, 360 - $400, 3DS - $250, Wii - $300. If anything, Vita already has a fairly low price point. I wouldn't quite put it that way. PS3 is obviously leagues ahead of the competition, but being a console, it shares the same fate of them all: it becomes inferior eventually. Games like Last of Us, God of War: A, Beyond, or even Starhawk more or less prove just how good a PS3 game can look when developers put the system to proper use.

The only interesting aspects were all games we already knew about, and the new exclusives they announced were nothing but ripoffs or mimics of other popular franchises. Blowing the lid on big name exclusive titles before is alot better than making people wait to see a bunch of multiplatform bullcrap and mabye 1 or 2 exclusives. I'm happy to know that Sony is showing us content that we can only experience on Playstation. That's what's supposed to make a companies E3 press show stand out.
I'll believe it when I see it, but you know what, even though the campaign in Homefront was complete utter garbage, the Multiplayer pretty damn fun once you got into. My only complaint is having to get 200 kills with even the crap drones in the MP, in order to get the Platinum, but otherwise it was a very solid experience. Almost like the perfect middleground between CoD and BF.

I was finally able to play some multiplayer after the patch, and I must say, it's actually kindof fun. The controls give it that very arcady feel, and it just feels awesome playing a handheld FPS online that feels just as good, if not better, as a console. Really liking this game. Definitely a decent start to FPS on the Vita.
I can see it now: Jack Tretton will walk out onto the stage, lean into the mic, and shortly & sweetly say 199.
I remember the badass TV commercials Sony used to show like Universe of Entertainment with the song, "Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva playing in the background. Those were just awesome, and I hope Sony goes back to them one day.
