That's one fine looking game. As I understand it this game and Red Steel 2 both launch close to each other right? This might be a tough choice then.
I really think any doubts you have about buying it will be vanquished as soon as the Halo Reach Beta goes live! That is a huge pull for anyone interested in a new style of Halo.
"One of the many things I love about Borderlands is that the audio work is brilliant: I caught the entire demo on my dictaphone, and when I listen back to the tape it sounds like several arms dealers doing battle in a mental asylum while someone makes love to a giant mantis... with Randy Pitchford providing the commentary."
LOL ok then. Sounds pretty fun overall.
This is the box of a game I fear will be completely overlooked. Games aren't cheap, and at $69.99 Canadian I won't be picking this up till a price drop or a used copy pops up.
Wow, online stat tracking and 32 player dedicated servers. Isn't this game kinda bad though?
Umm excuse me? What makes them losers? And why can't they do review scores or NPD numbers? They all concern Nintendo too you know. Besides they are often the first to break some of these things.
Me too! Help!
Ahh! I would kill for a downloadable version of that demo on Live. I liked that one cause he tried the ballroom part differently.

They look the same, and only side by side shots will show anything different.
Very funny Pixel. No matter where you go in the world everyone will instantly identify races just like us. Seeing two "people" fighting is just a pansy way of saying "That white woman is holding a black woman down by her jaw."
I thought he was trolling for real at first :D
New Ghost Recon is well under development. Rainbow Six is completely invisible. And BG&E deserves to come out before both of those.
You don't like how the Halo franchise is being "milked", but all you play is Call of Duty? OK... That's cool :S
While technically true, most Unreal Engine games still look all very similar in the end. Glossy, glowy etc.
I know what you mean, games like Trials HD and Gears look like they were cut from the same damn cloth. The only hope to fix this is for the devs to give their game a unique style. Mirror's Edge and Mass Effect are a little less obvious at least.
Yeah it's up to Epic to make the engine more and more efficient so it can have more enemies and destruction etc. I really think Gears 2 shows how the engine is growing steadily, and how it will be even better in new games like ME2, Bio 2 and so on.
Comparing these to games like Uncharted 2 is unfair however. Bioware, Ubisoft, or 2K or whoever will not have money rained on them to make a one-game custom engine like Killzone and Uncharted have.
It's a smart business ...
There are other great engines out there, like Cryengine 3. But there hasn't been a shred of proof as to how well a third party will make a game on it.
Besides, after watching the console Cryengine demo, I thought back to FarCry 2. That game has an awesome engine called Dunia, kinda similar to Cryengine. It looked georgeous, but controlled clunkier than Killzone 2.
So until I see a totally independent third party game that looks clearly better than Unreal 3(and c...
The pedigree is incredibly solid. All these games have very tight controls and graphics. The engine is only getting better with time too. ME2 has gorgeous visuals, full combat physics, new lighting tech, and locked 30FPS. That has to say something.
God that place must be sick! Too much merchandise... I would be broke.
Yeah perhaps. It would be sad if a new IP is swamped in the holiday rush. Nothing worse than a good game doing poorly, nothing.
