The Water Hazard chapter in Half Life 2 was a good bit of fun. An epic chopper chase/battle at the end livened it up alot.

No Porcelain and Dutch. Consider the obscene level of interactivity and dozens of people surrounding you in Assassin's Creed. That's a much more likely source of texture degradation than simple disk space.

I think this comment is aimed at people who did find Fallout 3 boring (myself). If you disagree then the quote shouldn't apply to you.
If they cut their framerate IN HALF I bet they would compete with B:BC2, KZ2, etc graphically. But that's not their business and they do 60 FPS on purpose; it's like their trademark.
It's much more dramatic than running around Middle Eastern slum #76 or European farm #99. It gives me the feeling I got when storming the Reichstag in WAW only double the thrill.
It may look easy when developers demo the game in their God Mode. But I'm sure incapacitating/executing is a whole other ballgame when you're playing on realistic difficulty.

In your Conviction preview you said you didn't like the graphics! Are you really unimpressed technically or was it the aforementioned filters in darkness etc?
Though I will say it was hard to achieve for the first time, it isn't nearly as difficult as it's cracked up to be. I've managed to finish it twice with only a pistol. Just know where to shoot, stun, and run. It works well as long as you don't screw up.
WAW on veteran is so unfairly hard considering the amount of grenade hax the Nazi's use.
Well as long as they put limitations on it I'll be happy. Hearing Martyrdom and Pro in the same breath still makes me sad.
I'm so glad martyrdom isn't on the list. It saves me the pain of reading the phrase "Martyrdom Pro."
