Looks like some genius at NOA caught the old "Americans won't understand or be attracted to the Japanese cover which is too 'sedate' and 'artsy' to get peoples' attention" bug from the 80s. As far as official art, it's nice but the monster takes up almost all the focus of the cover. "Hey dumb bargain bin custom0rz!!!! Put down that Chicken target game!!! Look at the rox0rz Monst0R battlz!!! SEE THE MONSTER???! THIS GAME HAS MONSTER BATTLES AND IS A SHOOT0R!!!"
Well IGN is a mainstream gamer's site. No more no less. Hardcore pokemon trainers don't need anyone to tell them which ones they need to buy ;)
I say 5 hours is far too short an estimate. This guy is playing on easy "journalist mode", using little strategy, just shooting around, and looking for the nearest door I think. A stealthy Sam will take at least 7 hours to do a decent job.
Haha so true. Honestly most generals do stuff like... watch other soldiers do stuff. Executive level work probably takes up most of their time. Not to mention he is likely 60 or something! Price and Roach are "in the ****" like no one else yet they can't strong arm grandpa. That makes about as much sense as the plot as a whole >_>
"Swapping between guns and swords is so fast you can stitch together blade and bullets as you see fit. It’ll never match the arcade precision of a button, but when did a button let you pretend to gut a man? Precisely."
Point taken.
"Red Steel composer Tom Salta cracks out his bom-bom-bomming Japanese drums; swords shriek and crackle with energy; the lowliest pistol explodes like a nuke. "
This man made Red Steel 1 tolerable. I hope h...
Those are the only Resis I haven't played! Put them in 480p widescreen with updated visuals and I'll drop the dollars day one.
I still need to finish Hotel Dusk :o
Does this mean Last Window won't get released in NA? That would be beyond a tragedy considering how good the first is.
Well I wouldn't go that far. The character models look great yes, but other stuff not so much. During the fight with the rich guy in the bank as Shinobu; could you even tell that the walls were stacks of gold bars? Where they bars or bills? Lol.
Still a great game.
Umm none. This is good!
Well the reason I think Bliz signed on under Activision was for the usual business reason. Money.
Blizzard doesn't release their games quick enough. They can't pay devs for years and years without making profits back by selling their games. Besides WoW what the hell have they released? Expansion packs?
They are a legendary dev don't get me wrong, but you can't just sit on WoW cash and tinker on Diablo III and SC2 all day ;)
I've never fully played through a Team Ninja game, or a Metroid for that matter! But this looks awesome.
This is something that just naturally works with motion/touch controls. I can't wait for a good adventure/puzzler like Hotel Dusk to use this!
AAA is a "9/10" game. It usually refers to a highly talented development team with a high budget etc. AA is 8, A is 7. It's a bit strange sure but that's the lingo gamers use I guess.
I'm sorry because it's off topic. But don't kiss Bruce's shoes yet he's still a tad delusional. He links to the article he wrote called "Nintendo teach us all a lesson, again" where he talks about why the Nintendo brand is so successful white everything it does.
"Polish, polish and polish. Why can’t other game developers and publishers do this? It doesn’t cost a lot of money, it just costs time. This really sets Nintendo first party apart."
Haha! ...
Me too nice pick!
Well this would be a good start.

The CQC moves do sound pretty nice. I hope there is some good variety among them.
Haha. Too bad when Zelda: TP got an 8.8 at Gamespot the internet caught fire!
"Is it possible to have sex with a JPEG image?"
I really want to know. It would be my first choice for sure :D
"Also functions as a Max Repel against random girl encounters"
Haha sweet!
