Who here only plays through a game once? If any of you are as motivated to play new games as all the quick comments suggest, wouldn't a second playthrough be taken for granted, collectibles or not?
I could never be satisfied with one playthrough with any good game. Especially action heavy games, ones with cool stories, or those 15 hours or less, Alan Wake included.

The voices in the English version are done so well I don't feel the need for a Japanese dub to be honest. Graphics are not even a factor with this game.

I absolutely have to say that Deadly Premonition had the most overwhelming and interesting story of any game this gen. It's almost as if a Japanese version of Shakespeare wrote it. The amount of character detail going on rivals novels. Frankly the fact that Heavy Rain came out the same day only serves to embarrass it. Actually, there is scenario in Heavy Rain that is directly stolen from DP.

Though it wasn't her fault that ME has such a bare bones story, I still say the writer wouldn't make any difference. Unless DICE slows the pace down for the sequel it won't matter who writes it.
