It sounds so good. But I must not watch! I haven't waited since 2006 (earlier if I reference the godly Chaos Theory) just to spoil it's brilliance in a streaming video. :D
Well it's far from reinventing the wheel, the action looks about average for a shooter these days, and the graphics are nothing special. So yeah on paper it doesn't exactly sing.
But a game like this thrives on replayability and letting you make interesting choices. If those aren't fun, this game will suck.
Hhhhhhh I feel sad. This is criminal stuff right here. I picked this up the same day as Mass Effect 2. And I'm guessing no one else in the store knew NMH existed :(
EDIT: That is only the 1st week. A game like NMH doesn't fly off shelves. The first didn't either as I recall and it did ok.
Well still throw them a bone man. SH:SM is great and it's because of the Wii's hardware. It's a technical achievement as I'm sure you agree; it may have looked better with an HD budget on the 360/PS3, but the Wii is it's home man.

Yeah a game like this really deserves the touch ups. It was ahead of it's time for the old N64 hardware.
Yeah it's hard not to have high hopes for this game. I love the variety for CQB options.
I hope they have improved the god-awful melee animations in that "rage mode" ability. It was in a dev diary video months back.

No but seriously this is the same issue gen and gen again with Nintendo. They lose third party steam sporadically throughout their console's lives. Even the end of the article says they should just lean back on Mario and Smash Brothers. I think what they mean to say is for N to crank out more 1st party AAA hardcore games. Like Zelda, Metroid Other M should count too.

I think Infinity Ward is very skilled, but their creativity has been castrated by Activision. Do you have any doubt the could make a great original game? FPS or otherwise I would love to see it.
It's funny because you do expect a certain degree of "s***" design when playing Suda's games. Then when he does a well designed one like NMH2 it's like a changed experience. :)
