Hopefully the PS3 doesent play/work like P!$$. Yeah Sony "work that @$$" for my $600 bucks.
Lets face the facts sony is going out on a limb, some like the strategy others dont. PS3 is a game machine and a blue ray player, some like it many dont. They are using the same strategy as last time. Yes its not as needed as before. If you dont like them boycot the fuqers, dont buy the PS3. Just stop B!tch!ng about it like some 2 year old fanboys!
BUT ADMIT THAT THE PS3 IS GOOD FOR GAMING OVERALL.

Sony did poll its fan base. I DONT have a link to prove it but I remember reading about it. They polled mainly for PSLive service but did ask about blue ray. The majority wanted an HD player in their PS3 (about %80). However their fan base that was polled were japanese and as we know they love their gadgets and are not affraid to pay for it.
Edit:I prety shure they did not state that it would come with a $600 price tag, but thats just common sense.

They are crying oceans not rivers about DVD pirates. Imagine a person could fit 20 HD quality movies on one disc. The film industry would go to shambles. 50-200GB is good enough for now. Plus I know MS will push holographic discs in 1010. Come on you gotta give credit to sony for pushing a product they have partial copyrights to. For a worldwide release and almost a year (9 months) isnt that kind of slow. Thats 556 000 / month about 100 000 more than PS2 in its final life cycle. No Im not flaming Im one of the 5 Mil. so keep your lid on Marty! Just stating the facts.
