I think it's too late for Sony to stop the hacking on PS3.
Microsoft couldn't stop people from having Modded Xbox/Xbox 360 consoles.
Seriously once a hacker gets through their almost impossible to stop them.
I'm no hacker but I do know friends who are hackers and they always tell me the same thing.
Maybe instead of Microsoft talking about exclusives they should start making some for the Xbox 360 because there's not many coming out in 2011 besides Gears of War 3 and Forza 4.

NPD isn't the entire world.
Just like every other Gran Turismo game it'll sell 10 million plus copies when it's all said and done.
Hell every PS3 exclusive is like that.
Start off slow and then sell really high later down the road.
COD: Black Ops should be on this list.
Multiplayer in that game was a disgrace to the series.
Hell the problems still aren't fixed on any of the platforms.
Problems:
-Horrible Spawns Points.
-Over Powered Killstreaks and Perks.
-Poorly laid out maps.

The only thing on this list that I would disagree with is that games going multiplatform were out of Sony's hands the companies decided to make certain games on multiple systems out of choice.
Sony's marketing could of been better, price was high but packed so much value for what it offered at the time, resting on PS2 Success I'm sure any company with that successful of a product would be doing the same thing unless their called out on it for being too lazy.

I highly disagree.
If any game does something original or offers something unique whether retail, downloadable, indie, or exclusive then that game should be noticed and rewarded for their efforts.
Also Mass Effect is not exclusive.
--Mass Effect (Xbox 360/PC) = More then one platform.
--Mass Effect 2 (PS3/Xbox 360/PC) = All 3 platforms.
--Mass Effect 3 (PS3/Xbox 360/PC) = All 3 platforms.

Though from what I've seen so far Xbox 360 seems to be maxed out after Gears of War 2.
Gears of War 3 only has a slightly improved engine for the game.
PS3 still has a ways to go before it's maxed out.
PC is in a league of it's own.

Out of this line up I'm looking forward to Killzone 3, Resistance 3, and Duke Nukem: Forever the most.
I'll wait for price drops on Rage, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and FEAR 3.

In the end it comes down to powerful hardware but in order to unlock that power you need great developers.
None of these gaming platforms including the PC wouldn't be where they are today without the help of great developers.
PC owns every console will do so until the end of time.
Reason why more people aren't gaming on PC is because they know nothing about it or have the money to invest in an expensive gaming rig.

-Offer another option for XBL where you can pay for only the online and not all the extra crap.

Soul Calibur was my favorite franchise on Sega Dreamcast.
Continued to follow the series on PS2.
PS3 had Soul Calibur IV which was good could been better but here's hoping this new game will expand the franchise more in the next gen then what Soul Calibur IV offered.

Sony has been making a profit on PS3 ever since the Slim was released in 2009.
PSN is just another goal to work on for Sony to grow profit.
Explore all of the PS3 exclusives some more you'll be surprised with the amount of variety offered.
Uncharted 3 is a great start for you.

Also the problems are exactly the same on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
PC has it the worst right now followed by PS3 then Xbox 360.
Crysis 2 on PC will obviously own any game graphically big time.
Though from a console perspective I think both games have their pros and cons.
Crysis 2 does really well with particle effects, lighting, and jungle scenery.
Killzone 3 does really well at capturing that gritty war feeling while still having a nice color pallet, has some awesome A.I, cool melee system, and has a very large scale.
