Well broke their expectations for quarterly numbers for the PS3.
Sony wanted to sell 15M PS3 consoles in 2010 and they surpassed that number so that's good for them.
More people to game with the better I think.
If I had kids I wouldn't try to hide stuff from them and make them find out bad situations when then they don't have to.

I'm thinking this cloud service happened for several reasons.
1.) Promote PS Plus and try to make approachable for non-users of this service.
2.) Combat pirates.
(Even though there are security measures in place.)
3.) Find a way to get a lead into the next generation before Microsoft and Nintendo do.
(It's a smart idea.)
4.) Have more access to your game saves and content if your console would ever to ...
