Nice.
It’s a really fun game.
Really challenging too.
All of that power means nothing if you don’t have games showcasing it.
It’s like putting an amateur driver in a race car expecting them to compete against a pro driver who’s also in a sports car.
The developers are the drivers which propel the sports car (machine) forward.
Day 1.
$599 for console and Halo Infinite which would bring the cost of the console to $540 ($539.99).
It said for Xbox Series X and Halo Infinite.
If we know Halo Infinite is $60 then that means the console will cost $540 ($539.99).
If it’s like a co op mode then that would be dope but pvp nah not needed.
Graphically for an open world it set the standard.
Developers sometimes have to sacrifice detail in open world games but Sucker Punch went the extra mile to do the little details.
No short cuts taken.
Setting the standard for visuals.
Seriously look up the intro to the game (YouTube) and see for yourself.
Why even bother at this point when new consoles are about to release?
Just saying.
For me I would say the following.
1.) Ghost of Tsushima is the new standard for open world games.
2.) PUBG started the battle royale genre craze this gen.
3.) Overwatch set the stage for hero style multiplayer games.
In my opinion.
For the game yes it is a great choice but for the launch of a new console no it’s not a good choice.
Exclusives sell consoles. Period.
I’ll give it a try when it’s on sale.
The problem with releasing Xbox Series S with Series X is that devs now have to compensate for the inferior specs of Series S and it won’t take full advantage of Series X.
I would of rather have Microsoft Xbox release a digital only version of the Series X than release a weaker spec console like Series S.
Just hope that Series X doesn’t get held back by Series S.
Series S isn’t that much more powerful than Xbox One X.
Keep that in mind.
It’s going ...
Sony has been killing it with exclusives since the PS1 days.
Few reasons why I believe Sony devs are amazing is that they push each other to be better, they share technology with each other (developers) and they have a passion to create amazing games.
I'm so looking forward to PS5.
Day 1 buy.
Soon as pre orders are announced I'm ready to buy.
Hopefully there's enough PS5 consoles (physical edition) to go around at launch.
These game sales are a blessing to my bank account.
I think this entire 8th generation (PC/PS4/Xbox One/Switch) I've only bought maybe 6-8 games full price and everything else has been sales.
A lot of games now are also time consuming too which is good because I want to get my full value out of it.
Keep in mind standard game prices are going up next generation with PS5/Series X ($69.99), etc. so you now have to be even more picky with the games that you do pick....
I hope there’s a sequel.
Maybe Sucker Punch might make this into a trilogy at least.
More like 3-1 margin after that conference.
Though I am interested in Avowed, Fable and Halo Infinite on PC.
By now Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo have learned from each other that it’s better they test every hardware and take their time with quality to ensure a successful launch than to just launch it quickly.
Buying the PS5 day 1.
Exclusives games and exclusive content sell consoles.
Period.
Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo have been doing just that for years.
Ex.)
•Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is exclusive to Nintendo Switch and nobody bats an eye.
(Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2 were multiplatform.)
•Spiderman becomes an exclusive character on PS4/PS5 and everyone loses their shit.
Unless you just started gaming this generation...
I’m going the PC/PS5 route next gen.
