I mean I would love to be playing the PS5 right now but these scalpers are untouchable.
Highly doubt most people will get either PS5 or Series X for awhile until this COVID shit clears up and restrictions ease where they can ramp up production for both online and in store retail purchasing of these new consoles.

Both Sony and Microsoft dropped the ball when it came to their console launches.
Though I think if COVID weren’t around most people would be able to get these new consoles.

I literally had the PS5 in my cart twice, site crashed, kept refreshing and boom sold out.
But hopefully luck is on your side in the UK because getting a PS5 in the USA was a nightmare.
At first I was upset but then I came to my logical senses and realized the following.
1.) You can’t beat scalpers no matter how much you prepare.
(F*** scalpers! Hope they get COVID-19 and STDs at the same time.)
2.) Games don’t start to really take advantage of consoles specs until 2-3 years into the cycle.
3.) COVID-19 f***ed everything up for everyone.
(Limits manufacturing, shipping, inventory, etc.)

It’s damn near impossible to get a PS5 and even if you do manage to add it to your cart to buy, those sites end up crashing and when I keep refreshing the page it’s sold out.

So far this is my personal GOTY for 2020.
I still have disc PS4 games so my only option is the PS5 Physical.
Part of this reason I would think is developing with the limitations of current consoles (PS4/Xbox One) in mind. Games have to be made at the lowest common denominator to run on multiple systems.
Considering Sony said they are developing games for both PS5/PS4 simultaneously for the next few years and Microsoft saying they want to be Cross Gen (Xbox One/Xbox Series S/Xbox Series X) moving forward.
Don’t expect to see the full potential of PS5/Series X for at least a few year...
PC (Game Pass) & PS5 is the combo I’m going with.
