How is this article a review as the title says? It's a short game summary and does not give a score, letter grade, or a thumbs up or down.
Crysis 2 looks incredible on 360 and I believe it's on one disc. Compression technology has made some advances since these consoles were launched.
KZ3 has aa great single player experience but in my opinion a huge step back in multiplayer, it is missing so my functions that KZ2 had and the hand full of maps is inexcusable and a disappointment, but I really enjoyed the single player.
to just say no is obtuse. an arguement can be made either way.
if AMD truly feels DirectX needs to go, but on the other hand the provider of DirectX is Microsoft who is AMD's biggest customer, then we have a situation on our hands.
AMD provides the graphics for 360 and will probably provide the graphics for the "Next Xbox" so if Microsoft is not receptive of doing away with DirestX...does anyone here think AMD is going to tell Microsoft no to their next GPU. lol, I don't think so.
Haters will hate but I think it looks excellent for 6 year old hardware.
We have no idea how old these demos are so how can anyone sit here and bash Crytek over some stupid fn demos.
Most polish and optimization occurs in the last 30 days before duplication. This phase is what Crytek just finished doing, so how the hell does anyone on here know? Well you don't.
Spreading his propaganda. Fact is that the Frostbite engine in BFBC2 is techinically already superior to the COD engine and yet DICE needed a better engine in Frostbite 2 to be able to realize BF3.
Josh and Activision are in full denial and damage control mode. lol.
I think Rocksteady will be recognized as a top tier developer....up with the likes of Rockstar, Epic, etc. This game will prove that they didn't catch lightning in a bottle and are for reals.
I am not going to repeat what you said, but some might find that offensive. What are you some kind of child or maybe you are looking for sympathy, because your just a product of a liberal socialist neo marxist society and union educated. Yes, yes that is what it is, cause it explains your mentality.
This game director has made two mistakes.
First he has ticked off the core fans of the series by saying they don't care about the difficulty when developing this game. That is unbelievably obtuse to say, because the true fans of this game series pride themselves in mastering the combat in different difficulty settings. Dumbed down is not going to work for this series.
Second he just trashed on Bayonetta which represents the best combat gameplay this...
One of the coolest looking maps in recent memory. Crytek has done nice work.
The speeds and bandwidth to make a console that does not have a physical medium simply does not exist globally. For instance the North American market is 5 to 10 years away from having an infrastructure to support such consoles. I think we are a generation away from that.
Got my first taste of Torchlight last night on 360 and played for 6 hours. Awesome, it has been so long since I played Diablo 1 & 2 that it felt great to play such a game. I think it runs great on 360, I have heard of framerate problems, but I had no such problems. I am running a Vanquisher Marksmen with a ton of procs going at the sametime with many enemies on screen in hard difficulty. I did notice an update when I went to play it the first time, so I wonder if the patch addressed f...
They said NG3 would be revolution (changing what you have)instead of evolution (evolving what you have). If NG3 is drastically different in how it plays I will be disappointed.
Seems this comparison was posted a few pages back.
I watched the trailer in HD and obviously the finer details and certain effects are represented better on the PC its just a hard fact with newer hardware and more RAM, but honestly I think Crytek has done an EXCELLENT job with at least the aging 360. For those that do not have access to a gaming PC it seems Crysis 2 on the 360 represents the overall feel of Crysis 2 well and should be a great experience from a visual standpoint.
I think Crytek should be given kudos, you ca...
But, I don't think the 360 is dead and if MS has future plans to stay in this industry then it would benefit them to supply a steady amount of games on their platform to at least create the perception there is a difference between the 360 and PS3 for those shoping for a new console.
I also see no reason why MS, if staying it the industry, would not want to support the 360 a year or two after the launch of their next console, like Sony did with the PS2 and PS3.

Zipper has been unimpressive this gen.
Beta's and Demo's do not necessarily use the same compression technic found on a retail disc or any compression at all for that matter.
