I have always considered myself a realist or as they say "the proof is in the pudding" kind of guy.
With that said:
BF4, COD, and AC4 all had higher resolution on PS4.
AC4 had a better framerate.
Now we have TR:DE where the framerate on PS4 is 50 to 100% better.
It is safe to say, without even looking at spec sheets that show faster RAM and a more powerful GPU, that PS4 is topping the X1 in performance.
PS4 a...
It is exciting on one hand and a bummer on the other. To have world class developers working on rebooting Gears and seeing what they can do with it is exciting, but it's also a bummer to have all that talent and not push out some new IP's. Don't we want some new IP's and new franchises?
Wouldn't surprise me once they blow up the X1 reveal. They have been behind ever since. People/gamers don't forget that stuff and it takes a long time to win back trust, just ask Sony last gen with their $599 price tag and their get a second job remarks, it took them all gen to catch up and pass the 360.
Makes sense that EPIC is kinda getting out of the game development business. Rob F, Cliff B, and Mike C all left in the back half of 2012 around the time rumors went around that a Chinese company purchased a large portion of the privately held company. In 2 1/2 years since Gears 3, we haven't seen anything from EPIC except for Judgement which was made by the internal studio People Can Fly and they were dissolved after game shipped. Also, we haven't seen Chair who developed the succ...
Some of the graphics like the white streaks that fly across screen, I guess representing cold wind, just look annoying and out of place. Still interested in the game though.
exactly concentrate on single player because that is what this game is purchased for.
Seems worth $60 to me as I didn't play the 360 or Ps3 versions and glad I didn't, it is stunning looking and buttery smooth on PS4 so far.
I fully understand you gamers who played it already. They should allow you an upgrade for $20 - 30 if you played the game already and show achievements in your profile.
Ryan is a Xbox fanboy he came from OXM to IGN. Lets discuss this 55 and 45 split. There is no 55 and 45 its more like 52 PS3 and 48 X360 since PS3 is actually leading in worldwide sales by over a million units now and that was after 360 having a year head start, 9 million unit lead, and a price advantage and the PS3 still overtook the 360, so where is this 55 and 45 split I ask cause it is crazy talk.
Your arguement would work if X1 exclusives run at 60 and they don't. Exclusives usually push the system to the max and that is why 30fps is usually what we get. Multiplatforms typically don't push systems to the max, so when there is a tech gap as we are seeing it is more obvious.
Infamous is at 30 fps but it is an open world game like GTA much more demanding. Ryse on PS4 would most likely be 60fps vs current 30 on X1. Defending the X1 graphics as if they are on ...
MS and their management team need to make a decision now on their PR gameplan because if they come on out here everytime to downplay a significant performance advantage for PS4, it is going to be a long and busy generation for them. I think theye should just let the hips fall where they may and bring out good exclusives. They don't have the multiplatform advantage this time around, so they need to stop acting like it and wasting everyones time.
Are we back on this again. WTF Microsoft execs never stop marketing. PS4 has a better GPU and faster RAM, WTF is there to argue about. Give it a flippen rest already.
The guy from article is full of crap, that is all I will say. Simply watch the hour and half PS4 HD gameplay footage on Twitch TV if you don't believe me or are not getting the game.
I was looking forward to an Alan Wake 2, but nooooooo. Instead we get a game where you can freeze time and move around the special effects. You know what The Matrix did 15 years ago. Forget that noise, where is my Alan Wake 2?
"I know RYSE is not the best gameplay game but graphically nothing can TOP this game and that's a fact, only fanboys disagree with this fact."
Wait what....Forget fanboys, forget exclusives, the new Tomb Raider graphically tops Ryse (yes even the X1 version tops the exclusive) and saying that doesn't mean I am a fanboy it just means I am not uninformed, or unrealistic, and I'm not thick headed. I just try to take things for what they are.
Here is what I think will happen. If there is no Uncharted 4 for this holiday, Sony will still need some big titles and we could very well get revamped editions of the previous three games for the PS4 and/or a reworked GOTY edition of TLOU for PS4. When I mean revamped I mean like really redone like this new Tomb Raider, which is outstanding by the way. Lets just say....I believe.
Of course Witcher 3 looks Boss with a capital B, but what I find interesting is the developer has put alot of resources in this new engine and they want to sell this engine for other developers to use. Wonder how popular this engine may become this gen?
Other than Titanfall are there solid release dates for these X1 games? No and other than Infamous SS in March do we have solid release dates on Ps4 games..No.
So really we know jacks*** on whats confirmed coming out on either system.
All I see coming is E3 and the annual summer drought. Oh and one of these days Watch Dogs might actually come out, lol.
Not saying its true but it wouldn't surprise me. Nintendo gamers usually do not buy alot of third party games and its been this way for many generations now. Nintendo put on a good show of third party support when the Wii U was launched but here we are again and third party titles that have come out so far have had bad sales. It's gone back to the same old thing and it seems third party support will decrease again. This is nothing new. Gamers buy Nintendo console for Nintendo gam...
First the min is 30fps and I watched the hour and a half gameplay PS4 footage on Twitch last night with the producer and you can't really tell any framerate flucuations. At least I couldn't. It is a nice looking and smooth running game.
Please no Lost Planet feel in Titanfall. The Lost Planet franchise is bad and clunky.
