honestly i am more excited about Destiny than Titanfall, i may skip Titanfall altogether, fun, but shallow the seems like a giant map pack for $60.
It depends on the game. The standard has always been SP and MP make up a complete game package. If the game has no MP and is SP only gamers expect a great story with good length and often these games get critized for being short and/or having no co-op or MP part. A game like Destiny merges SP story an missions with online MP or public events.
I think if its a MP only game like Titanfall then it should be sold at $50 or 40 not $60 like its a complete package with SP and MP...
At some point X1 owners Kinects will malfunction and break and MS will need to offer Kinect to be purchased seperately because I can't imagine gamers will buy a completely new X1 just to get a replacement kinect. Once the kinect is offered seperately MS will need to offer the X1 for purchase without the kinect. Just my thoughts.
Bots are NOT a non issue when 75% of the players on the battlefield are bots. Also the game is fast paced and hard to tell what is bot from a real pilot until you engage them. Those ARE real issues. only blind fanboys would defend an idea that stupid AI is ok, when it is not, EVER!

The last proper Half-Life game was HL2, which came out holiday season 2004. In fact I believe it came out the same day as Halo 2. That was a long time ago, going on 10 years. I think we would have had a new HL if they knew what to do with it, but like the article said they may have hit a dead end and maybe were not really looking to keep making HL games. I wish they would just come out and say that they have moved on.
Anyone know if there will be cross-platform play between 360 Titanfall players X1 players? My guess would be since its using MS servers and playing thru XBL they should be able to but I have not seen confirmation they can or can't.
This is really the wrong way to do things and this is an example of why MS has been losing to Sony. Instead of disabling the sharping scaler, they should have added an option to turn it OFF or ON, how hard is that? Some may have preferred the sharper images with some jaggies, now you have less jaggies but more blurry textures. No choice wth. Come on MS get it right already.

I wouldn't call it a scandal as much as the X1 is less powerful and lacks the necessary grunt for many of these games.
It has been so long that the original publisher went out of business. I question this game ever coming out. To me it is at vaporware level at this point. Anyone else agree?
To late you can get it for that much or cheaper on disc, if these platforms want to truely push digital then have it day one at $10 to 15 cheaper then a disc copy.

I don't think you have all the facts the developer has been trying to decide 1080 or the 800 with film effects with 4x MSAA. I believe they are trying to gauge response to help with decision. PS4 has plenty of power for 1080p. Killzone and Tomb Raider look outstanding.
Why can't we have the option of which setting to play as in game like PC does. For example The film like version feels weird to me but if I couldn't get used to it then I would like to use the other setting. This is 2014 and new hardware, developers should give us premade setting options in game.
The graphics look nice but the enemies and monsters have terrible art design they need to rework enemies. Every enemy shown in that clip looked generic.
Perfect proof, gamers that find clearing a room of AI fun are casuals thats not a challenge at all. This is what I have been saying and I am getting disagree after disagree and verbally ripped like I am insane or something.
Seven PS4 titles in top 30. Only one title for X1 in top 30 just about says it all doesn't it? Especially since the PS4 has no games.
