Maybe its just me but I just don't see it, I guess I'm just wired to see things differently, practical. Hell or maybe I'm just cheap. I don't think its worth it and I don't condemn anyone who wants to buy it but I think the people putting it out are trying to make extra money of fans, and I guess, collectors.
Its not like I haven't bought Collector Editions before and a couple times had regrets after the purchase, it just doesn't seem worth it, and...
so you actually think that its worth the $150, saying PVC does not mean its worth the price, neither is saying its for collectors. Even if the Statue is great quality its just not worth that price, there isn't even much else to warrant it. Its a poor CE that just takes advantage of people love for the series just to make a little extra money.
Just because its probably going to be an amazing game doesn't mean they're not ripping people off with the CE cost.
they're not selling it, they just don't want us getting it as its for their competition and that's just as bad.
So they open the boxes and take it out, there must be something wrong with that right? Plus I doubt they told the customers when they bought their copies so that's also bad.

you also have to take into consideration the cost of games as well, PC games are cheaper and even discounts are enormous especially compared to console games. I've saved over $1000 on steam because of the ridiculous prices they have on PC games and its not cheap or bad games either, we're talking the best of the best here and games I really wanted not just purchased because of the discount. not the point, what I'm saying is that the performance increase for $200 more is so much that spending $600 on a PC seems like a waste of money, the increase from $800-$1000 is not as good in respect to gaming at this current time and its would actually be $600 - $1000 not $800 as that's the starting point which makes your argument irrelevant.
If you buy this system you will be obsolete in 6 months, but $200 more you can have a good PC for a few years. Not max gaming ...
If I'm spending 600 bucks for that PC I might as well add another 200 and get something a lot better, the performance for 33% more in cost is exponential.

next E3 will be an announcement of PS4 with the following fall release, so end of 2013 release is my prediction.

and that's a bad thing? Most great sequels take whats good from their original and improve on it, its not about completely reinventing the game but enhancing and expanding on what was done in the first one. That to me is something to look forward to.
No non persistent online game should be tied to a server to play. Even if its 10 years later I should be able to boot up my copy of a game and replay it like I'm doing with Deus Ex right now and not be stopped because the company went out of business or decided to shut down the servers, or if I lost my internet connection or they had server problems.
Too many problems with the idea and hackers bypass the security anyway making legit players the ones suffering.
yea I suffered through the chore of making space on my 40GB until I finally gave up and installed a 320GB HDD in it. Best decision I ever made.

never played a gears game for the story, I don't really see that changing now either.
I watched one vid on a multipath level playthrough recently but other than that I have tried my best to stay away from everything that might spoil the game for me. This is my most anticipated game of the year and thats saying a lot considering the fall lineup. I'm replaying the original right now in anticipation :)
I'm not a big fan of 3d but I agree, this is just one title that might just make 3d work, if its implemented right.
its not a big deal, they're HD titles and its great that everyone gets to play them. I'm just really excited for Peace Walker as I don't own a psp and its one I've been looking forward to for a while...oh and trophies for MGS2 and 3 :)
