I've never bought a micro transaction in my life, I don't understand why someone would but obviously a lot of people do.
I never defended it, I was pointing out the fact that it is not necessary and that I don't think they hindered progression.
The point here is that not every game will be suitable for every player, I liked a lot of the side quests in this, as I did with The Witcher 3.
Isn't he a reward from Ubisoft Club?
Why did you list the game price in Pound Sterling and then list the time saver price in U.S. Dollars?
I have played Spider-man and I was max level after 20-25 hours and already finished the main story.
I have AC:Odyssey and I just reached max level after 55 hours, Story was finished around 47 hours, not including cultists and the mythical part ;). If I had the XP boost I would have got to max level 1.5 times faster. but the story would have still taken me...
@Kirbwalker
Assassins creed is a much bigger game than Spider-man, like double or triple the length.
Both are good games but I like Assassin's Creed Odyssey more.
Seriously did they change the article because that is not in the article I just read.
"The following statistics highlight the commercial performance of video game hardware and software purchased either at retail or via an online sale over a four-week period Sept. 1 – Sept. 30."
I don't know where you saw that. The article says this
"The following statistics highlight the commercial performance of video game hardware and software purchased either at retail or via an online sale over a four-week period Sept. 1 – Sept. 30."
@Livingthedream
And it's £10 cheaper than PS+
Which 2?
Is it because the rest are available on PC?
Do you consider Nioh to be a PS4 exclusive. Do you consider The last of Us to be a PS4 exclusive? Persona 5?
I read like 3 pages and then closed the tab.
My favourite PS4 exclusives are mostly not made by Sony's studios.
Persona 5
Yakuza
Spiderman
Although God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn were good, not as good as above.
I hate Soulsborne games and Uncharted and The Last of Us, I didn't like.
It's a good game. It's a little overrated. But it's all about personal opinion. Mine is that it is better than Spiderman but not as good as Persona 5.
I really enjoyed it. Enjoyed the game and the Show. Did a couple of play-through's
I have a feeling that if this was a playstation exclusive it would be a 90+ on metacritic and praise would be lavished on it all round.
Yakuza?
Well with Red Dead Redemption 2 coming out in 2 weeks, some people may feel the need to finish before that.
I'm not sure what to do because I want to 100% Odyssey and I can't Imagine I can do that before RDR2 release.
I'm 32 hours in and I'm 5 levels above the main story quest. I never refuse a quest and I pick up ones from the boards, I think I did one without even realising it and it gave me 24,000 XP. Some are things I would do anyway, like clear bandit camps, kill Spartans, etc. They give a good amount of XP.
For me there has been no grind to level up with the main story. In fact, I am 5 levels above it. I have thousands of pelts, metal and wood and hundreds of glass and gems and over 100,000 drachmae.
The other stuff, I will agree with, there is content that is locked behind a pay wall. But I won't let that ruin my enjoyment of playing the game.
One thing I think is a dirty tactic is giving you a small amount of helix credits that is just a little less th...
I'm 30 hours in and I am over leveled my 5 levels from the main quest. I didn't pay for the boost.
Enemies level up with you to a certain point, depending on the region, each region will have a cap.
Perhaps there will be a point in the next hours were I need to grind but I have a lot of side quests still to do.
Quite early in, the game throws a bunch of quests at you that are way above your level, when you're level 20ish, yo...
I don't think Microsoft care much about console sales in Japan. The streaming service is the way to go. Mobile gaming is more popular in Japan.
I just read that Capcom makes 85% of its revenue from America and Europe. Microsoft just want to get 3rd party exclusive on Xbox. The likes of Persona, Yakuza etc.
That's my thinking on this. No buying studios, not opening studios. just trying to level the playing field with Sony in regards to 3rd party J...
I don't necessarily like JRPGs but I tried Persona 5 recently and the first play through took me 110 hours and I skipped quite a lot of dialogue.
My point is, if anyone is thinking about getting it. It's a long game. Be prepared.
It's true. I've played over 60 hours of the game and never did I have to "grind".
It kinda annoys me when people talk about grind when that "grind" involves playing the game the way it's intended to be played.
