Did the same, played PS3 version now going through the PS4, also love the extra features that was put into the controllers.
Remote play is very good (and sweet!), controls aren't very awkward as well although shuttering on occasions and dropped connections; it is definitely playable when my parents overtake the TV. I blame my parents TVPAD, worst thing ever invented.
