I found Final Fantasy ok at launch, queues weren't that bad although this maybe due to the server I was on since this is where all my friends were.
Simcity and BF4 was literally unplayable for me =/

I don't think they lost the confidence in their product. Their priority is sales with their other main console competitor. One more console sold = more royalties and income from software which is more important than its' initial eagerness for the kinect to be part of that xbox one.
So gain these lost sales back and fan, they are listening to what people want. It's up to Microsoft to gain that extra sale back on the kinect by supporting it as much as possible

yeah they insisted that point that kinect is a core part of the xbox one experience, guessing they buckled under the pressure which was pretty inevitable from the way things are going around.

If used for multiplayer games it won't be as bad as support will continue otherwise factoring the connection issue, I won't touch a single player game that uses the cloud for gfx.
Mainly because depending on how much gets offload to the cloud, when the dedicated servers closes down in a number of years time, my game will look shit on the scale of how much was passed to the cloud. It's like i'm buying a temporary nice looking game or subscribing lol
