there is a valid reason why analysts says mobile is profitable, please direct your attention to the install base. Almost everyone in the household owns a mobile so develop a game that appeals to the general public then $$$. I always see different people at all ages playing with games on their phones.
You don't need people to buy your hardware as they already have it (the phone). In addition Nintendo success in the handheld market now with younger generation mid-generation...

I believe it still had presence due to the fact it was originally released for XBOX 360 which had a low popularity in Japan. I am unsure if this was even actually localised in Japan for the XBOX 360. It was however released on windows in Japan on 09/04/2009 per:

note keywords demo, game isn't finished, this is probably like not even alpha gameplay and people are complaining about glitches and framerates, etc.

Mentioned some place else but yeah, considering install (20 million i think and increasing) base and everything is already available in place so extra tweaks = costs are low. Plus many people from prior generation particularly 360) haven't played the franchise. So will get them up to speed for the next game I imagine.
But yeah don't see the fuss, it's here for the people that want to try it (or never played it before) with better graphics and options. It's not...
Agreed with what you guys said, bloody DLCs similar to battlefield and their premium edition add on packs, lol lol Battlefield naval strike introducing dramatic water base battles? calling it Battlefront Space warfare expansion pack.
Major step back in regards to battlefront 2 which had space battles and have both eras (BF1 had both eras but no space) - more DLC, great =/
