I'll wait and see because their idea may be $1 more. I would like to see more for newer games. $45 for a $60 game that's a week old would be better, but that is not happening.
I'm slightly worried that the ps3 version will hold back the ps4 version. Graphics are one thing and frame rate too, but that cannot account for the gameplay improvements with more memory and processing power. Larger world's with more on screen action, improved physics and a bigger canvas to create on are some 5 hinges that could be affected.

This is not a jab. You asked what is wrong with remasters. IMHO, I believe they are being used to supplement a lack of new, top tier titles for the ps4. Yes, they are great games, mostly, but i believe that since most of the big named games were pushed to late 2014 and beyond, the library needed something to keep gamers happy. In comes remasters and indie titles. Games that can be ported quickly while gamers are waiting for the next big Sony games, announced and...
Something I have taken from the beta. There are several inaccessible areas that will open up upon release. I have no idea how big they are, but i believe Bungie knows quality.
Also, i have accepted that this is a Xbox 360/ps3 game that has been buffed, glossed and shined for the ps4 and x1. The content is the same with no true gameplay improvements with the current gen stronger hardware. If this receives the support, which I believe it will, and the current gen gets a stron...
I agree with the cross gen assessment. My guess is that destiny 2 will not be out before holiday 2016 at the earliest. The install base for ps4/x1. should be high enough to support current gen exclusively. Then all systems are go to utilize the resources and see what can be done.
Sad part is that it's a give and take that has not met it's potential. We want better games. Developers want a larger install base to help improve their chances of a profit. Neither side is giving. 23 want cheaper memory and systems. Sony wants to profit. Stalemate. The only hope 8 if Sony is able to come up with 5 heir own Pokémon. Not the same game or style of game. A game that helped to launch the 3ds sales after a slow start. Nintendo has a few portable franchises that can...
When you have to justify your opinion by negatively labeling those that feel differently than you, your actions define your negative label.
I felt fine with Sony ' show. I only caught the last 20 minutes of the ms show. I like how Sony barely touched morpheus, spending less than 5 minutes on it. The did spend a little too much on powers and playstation tv though. About to watch the ms one.
@summons. I'm in the beta and one impression I got was that game I bought were showing differently, giving me the option to play instead of rent. Big key here is that I have switched to digital over physical games for the most part. With games offered both ways, it's about 5 to 1 in favor of digital. So my digital license carries over to ps now. Meaning, in theory, if I logged into your ps4 with my account, I could play my digital games there streaming them instead of downloading th...
To succeed, it has to be PLAYSTATION now, not ps3 now or ps retro now. Having access to the ps library across all platforms is required. Pricing for ps4 rentals would be more, but that is expected. I'm not interested in buying some ps4 games, but renting them for 3 days is on point.
I just registered in Columbus Ohio. Was shocked this small market was chosen. It would be switched if Sony reps were there handing out swag.
Subscriptions are ok for those with time to dedicate. There are those who want to play as well, I only could manage about an hour or 2 on Saturday because my schedule is so full. I bought ffxiv, it was fun for the time I played, but I didn't subscribe because a fun game is a fun game and other fun, subscription free games filled the void.
I understand your point of view, but is that possible? To take my save and you load it as an example.
This it the thing I hate. When a ps3/vita/ps4 game is on 2 or more ps systems and it has a shared trophy pool. Buy 2 games, get 1 trophy pool. Borderlands 2 got it right. If trophies are not your thing, disregard. But games like ffx, dragons crown and terraria blew it. If the trophies are shared, the expense should be too. Make it cross buy then or split the trophies.
The place I see as a big flaw is how trophies are allocated on multiple system games. For example, if a game is on ps3 and vita and there is no cross buy, they should not have shared trophies. FFX and Dragon's Crown are examples. If you have to buy both, then they should have their own individual trophy list and platinum. I can accept cross buy sharing one trophy pool, but if I have to buy it, it should have it's own trophy pool.
I know it says audio and all, but that seems a bit high. I thought higher textures on pc myself before knowing. I'm sure someone will fine tooth comb it once released.
I'm never going to have time to play every fun game. That said, there is something special about earning trophies. Best thing ever? No, but they do provide a sense of accomplishment. When your done with that game, you take the accomplishment with you, unlike in game unlocks. When a game is that fun, hunting the platinum is more worthwhile than trying to get every plat possible because they exist. So, 3 equally fun games, 1 with a platinum, 1 with trophies and no plat and 1 with no t...
Not a bad deal at first glance. If you play more than 1, it's great for you. If you only play 1 though, it kind of gives you the short end of the stick. It would be nice if single game subs were allowed at a reduced price. Between 7 and 10 for single game sub and 15 for all inclusive. That way, if I am sure I will only be playing one, I can save some money.
Did anyone take into account the free games for the ps4?
@ dmitrijs88.
I firmly do not believe it is time say goodbye to Nintendo. Mainly because they own a solid core of franchises. The same franchises that have kept them afloat and relevant would make phenomenal 3rd party titles on either of the lead consoles. Imagine Link in ps4 graphics or Samus on the Xbox one.
Here's an idea. Everyone who owns a Vita, buy this on day one. Those who want it, open and enjoy. Everyone else, keep it for 5 days and return it unopened. I think we can finally destroy vgcharts when it reads a Vita game sells over a million copies in week 1 and -90,000 in week 2.
