This is what happens when you abandon your loyal fanbase for the MTV crowd that will not buy your game in droves because they are content with Call of Duty #9.
I am through with BioWare anything, period. Not happy with the direction they are going. They abandoned their loyal fans that made them successful and pander their games to the MTV crowd all for a little extra cash. Sad company is sad.
Doubt BioWare will ever make a worthwhile RPG again. They are hungry for some extra money and want the MTV crowd, not their loyal and supporting fans.
Can't say it is a bad 100 dollar purchase. It would've been much more worth the money if it had online capabilities, which was a major feature for the Wii. The Wii couldn't get much worse from this point on though. First goes the GameCube backward compatibility now online features too. Don't think they can remove the disk drive, otherwise no game would work...
I agree, Trine is amazing. Great and unique combination of platforming and light RPG elements. One of the most creative games this generation.
Anything to get their ad revenue, and it works very well too. If I were a journalist I probably would've done the same.
No. I don't even know if I will even buy a Wii U unless Nintendo offers a game I want to play which they almost never do. Zelda is the only common Nintendo franchise I still play which is just 1-2 games per system. Hopefully Pikmin 3 will be good and same with Super Smash Bros. PC is my primary choice of platform for games and to a much lesser extent PS3, and I play my multi-platform games on those systems. My 360 broke last week and I don't think I enjoyed the system enough to justif...
What's so special about America?
Patcher saying this means it will launch in September or December.
Besides the three I would like to see an Elder Scrolls, Red Dead, Dark Cloud, Dragon Quest, ____ Souls, hell a game in the MGS universe, and my personal favorite console IP of this generation, a 3D Dot Game Heroes game.
Yay Crystal Dynamics, I love you for dumbing down your franchise, you are just one more developer abandoning their fans and pandering to the MTV/ADD crowd for some extra cash. I lost faith in video games, they are going down the same toilet movies have went down over 10 years ago. Sad.
I doubt the PS4 will be priced anywhere under 400 especially if the hardware will be a significant improvement over the Wii U. Sony MIGHT release a higher end model with a bigger hard drive and more features for another hundred dollars. I think Sony will price their console competitively with MS more than they would Nintendo given the Wii U will no doubt be the weakest console of this new generation.
I am impressed on how much improved this game is over FarCry 2. That game had a lot of potential completely ruined by a few major drawbacks like respawning checkpoints being on virtually every intersection but this game solved that. This and Boarderlands 2 are shooters worth playing from this year.
The tech is good for the price. The Xbox360 and PS3 aren't THAT much cheaper, and they both have less powerful hardware. I don't see what is so wrong with this system.
3DS sales tell me different...
Technically the current generation is the eighth generation and the 360, PS3, and Wii are last gen consoles, so yes it is. It's just going to be the weakest console this generation.
This game is getting very positive reviews, a bit the contrary of what I was expecting. I didn't like the second game for a plethora of reasons but the respawning checkpoints alone was enough to ruin a potentially somewhat enjoyable game for me, and Unisoft is getting it right with this game. Needless to say, I am really looking forward to this.
I don't think he was being literal.
Though I know what you mean about graphics and agree that graphics are very much overrated among gamers to the point it's sickening, graphics isn't what hardware is needed for, although better graphics go hand in hand with better hardware, better hardware also means more headroom for improved physics, AI, more complex game worlds with more "life" going on, greater draw distances, smoother framerates, higher resolution (or at least maintaining a 1080p render across all games ...
It isn't unheard of for developers to work on a sequel immediately after their game went gold or get released. It will take them a few years if they want to put effort into the quality of their next game. By then, the loyal FarCry community will be ready for it. Hopefully they won't go the AC route with this.
