As a die-hard fan of the Souls games, this has me worried a bit, however I am hoping for the best. The information revealed to us about Dark Souls II is just a drop in the pond and jumping into conclusions isn't the way to go. We'll have to wait and see. This year has been pretty mediocre (but not the worst) overall except for a J-RPG localization and two open world shooters. I bought only a handful of 2012 releases total this year which is unusually low for me. Hopefully next year will be better, and so far it seems to be. We have Tales of Xillia, Ni No Kuni, maaaayyyyyyyybe Dark Souls II but hopefully From Software won't go too mainstream with this as it is kind of worrying me right now, GTA V, and some upcoming MMOs to look forward to....
Dull? It IS a PC but in a console form. A lot like a gaming laptop due to its proprietary components, except stationary and hopefully much cheaper than one. I am interested in buying one for the living room to compliment my gaming PC that currently sits at a desk located on the opposite side of the living room from my 72" HDTV. If I want to play my PC on the TV I would have to hull the thing over which can be a hassle especially when needing to do the reverse if I want to use the PC on t...
If it turns out good, I might buy a Steambox as soon as it releases so I don't have to haul my gaming PC between my desk and my living room TV. Controller gaming can be done on the console while the KB+M gaming can be done on the PC. Either that or just build another PC specifically for controller gaming.

Why? If you really want this game chances are you already have at least one of the platforms this game will release for, and if you haven't then stop being greedy and cough up some money.
I'll get it on PC and see whether or not it is worth my cash. If so it will likely be on the lower end of the "worth it" spectrum. Usually DLC isn't known for getting the most out of your dollar which is why I typically never buy any. 20 dollars for DLC is also a little pricey. By then I would have paid 80 dollars total for this game and that doesn't include the other DLC pieces currently available.
I like trophies/achievements but some of them are way too generous on certain games. Look at the people that actually played Hannah Montana just because of the easy trophies. Pretty sad if you think, gross basement virgin loser nerds playing a game targeted at 6 year old GIRLS. I don't understand people sometimes.
7 bucks too much a month. I rather spend that money on an MMORPG or some other games or whatever. All you are paying for is P2P and you are too blind to see you are getting ripped off.
Why do games have to be like movies? Games are a medium of its own. Do you see books copying music or music copying pictures? No. Games are much more complex (and much different) than movies, yet game developers are envious of Hollywood which released nothing but garbage for the past decade. Even modern remakes of classic films are terrible. Really sad.
Going overkill with these remakes already. Why does every developer/publisher have to remake every game? Oh, that's right, they just want to cash in on nostalgia. Game companies are running out of ideas and somehow can not come up with something better.

Good for Level 5. Sega can burn in hell. They were great back in the Genesis days but now most of their games are utter shit and then they pull this stupid lawsuit. Man Sega you are out of your mind.

"Accessible Difficulties"
This part really burns. I would hope they dumb the game down on the easier difficulties and reserve much of the content for harder difficulties, so that if you want the full experience you play on the harder modes, but unfortunately this wouldn't be very likely. I really hate the direction video games are going and the Souls series is falling victim to it. Dark Souls III or whatever Souls game will come next will probably hammer yet ano...
