Amazing. This must be the beloved title announcement they were talking about. Suikoden 1 was the first JRPG I completely finished (collected all 108 stars!), and together 1 & 2 are two of my favorite games of all time.

Maybe, just maybe Konami reached out to the team behind Eiyuden Chronicle, the spiritual successor to Suikoden and will allow it to now bear the Suikoden name due to a behind the scenes deal? If Konami is creating a new one on their own, I doubt it could ...

I guess they really are "3 for 3" now?

Ha yea, Hitman definitely takes some goofy liberties. I do absolutely love the new one in VR, but even some of the enemy paths are way too rigid and predictable. They've always been like that.

For TLOU2 and TLOU Remake, it's the fluidity of stealth into combat, back into stealth that makes it special.

I really want to see what Splinter Cell can do with modern tech, because it could be amazing if given the proper love and care. Some of our love o...

I still want to play it, just not for $70! First sale it hits though, I'll be on it.

So man, Joel is just 1 year off from my age, and I'd probably turn into Joel too if someone ever took my 5 1/2 year old daughter away the way he lost Sarah. And.... my daughter's name is Ellie. (Elena) She is my world.

I actually skipped this game at launch because I rather enjoyed the 2007 360 game and was turned off when I saw no connection to the original in the previews.

I do regret not supporting it at launch, as this is a great game in its own right. He is 100% correct though, reusing the trademark hurt it. People were left confused, and it deserved better treatment.

Haha awesome. Loved this movie as a kid.

Can we get a Critters game next? :)

The game transformed into a toilet with a much bigger budget, so I guess that makes this a steal?

So basically you strip away everything that made Saints Row stand out in the first place, the outlandishness, over the top crude humor etc in order to fall in line with a more modern PC culture..... and this is what you get. Another bland open world game in a pile of bland open world games.

I think most of the hardcore gaming community saw this result coming a mile away.

@CrimsonWing69 So $70 isn't too much for a game I've beat nearly 10 times over the last decade?

I will agree, it is a fine price for anyone who has never played it! For me, I'll only pay $70 for a new experience.

I'm very interested to see if Ubisoft Montreal was able to salvage this, because despite a lot of Ubisoft hate out there, this game is still an all time classic and I want it to be awesome. I'm really glad they had the sense to pull it from the Pune and Mumbai studios when they saw the backlash. Kudos to Ubisoft for not just saying screw it, and releasing it anyways.

The remake isn't pointless, but the $70 price tag absolutely is. I'd love to play it again w the graphic and gameplay enhancements..... just not for anything more than $40 for me, as I've already played it so many times before.

Now you can really mow down the demons.

I can only picture an intense fire fight, the characters crying out "Safe space! Safe space!", then curling up fetal position behind a car, and blind firing their gun erratically.

I don't understand the downvotes. Call of the Wild is a 5 year old game now. Why would we not want to move the genre forward at this point, and maybe get a CotW sequel later on? Competition creates advances.

Yea, I really was hoping this would be the game to finally give Call of the Wild some competition.
