Logicwins is right.
There's no way that the nextxbox and ps4 is gonna sell more than 10M in first year.
Anything more than 5M in first year would be a huge success.
And launch window is considered first 3 months.
Now do the math.
I own a ps3 since day one, before ps+ I bought over 100 games.
That's about 20 games per year.
Now since I subscribed to ps+, last e3,I bought only 3 games, next game will be Bioshok Infinite.
So from 20 games per year I went down to 3-5 games.
In my case, Sony has lost money with ps+.
I will keep my 60GB BC ps3, it's worth gold.
But Sony lost all 3rd party exclusives, and no real BC in ps4 is gonna bite them in the as, belive me.
I've chosen ps3 over xbox360 only because I thought I must go with Sony to be able to play FF, MGS, ect. but they are multiplat now.
I could care less about a handful first party games,(except for N games) and 98% of my game library is multiplat.
So why would I go with Sony for the fourth time, I see no reas...
@menech
Ps3 has xdr RAM,much higher bandwidth RAM then on xbox360,and yet all multplat games looking and performing better on xbox360.
Smart people learned their lesson, but fanboys will continue to praise the RAM amount and bandwidth,it's the new CELL.
If you don't want Mario and Zelda go with ps4. Lol
I'm sure every WiiU owner want Mario and Zelda, that's the reason we bought a N console in the first place.
Don't throw money away Sony, you might need it.
Wow, I never knew Vita is such a fail. /s
I mean, look at those graphics, dual analog, great screen ect.
Look at all those games; Uncharted, KillZone, LBP,it's hard core pure, why people don't buy it?
Must be because of smartphones and tables. /s
Deamon Soul's can't save the Vita, there's no game that could save the Vita, not even Jesus himself could save it.
I'm afraid of what the game industry will be in 5 years.
I've had enough hours of fun with Skyrim, it has its flaws, but still one of best rpg's.
And for the imagination part, there are more than enough books in Skyrim you could read, but you didn't.
I agree about ME.
I feel the same way, but gamers have spoken.
They bought DLC crap, and now I expect that we will get even more DLCs in the future.
I'm a old school gamer, never bought a DLC and never will, and I'm proud of it.
Same goes for online passes, never bought a new game with online pass, only used.
WTF, why would you stop someone to spend money?
I mean pirates can download all the stuff for free, why would they spend money on store in the first place?
Anyway, Sony sucks with their online service, but you get what you pay for.
I'm not to optimistic about the quality of their online service on ps4.
I see them fail more than ever next gen, half of the announced features won't work like advertised, I'm sure of it.
GT 6 should be a multi release.
Not everyone who has a ps3 is going to buy a ps4.
I will go with next box, because of BC, and I am not alone with this decision.
ALttP is my all time favorite Zelda.
Man, this game looks good even for todays standards, now imagine how great this game was 20 years ago.
A perfect Zelda in any way, huge over world map and back then it was gigantic.
Even if they make the over world 1:1 they probably will add some new areas, and because of the new optics it feels fresh, for me.
Just wish they make some extra hard puzzles in the dungeons like in the original.
I will have to borrow...
I kinda overgrown the handhelds, don't see me getting one for sure.
But but, I want to play the new Link to the Past Zelda, best Zelda of all time.
@Xyla
How come the mighty ps4 can't properly run a TECH DEMO of UE4, not a game, a simple tech demo.
A tech demo is like a real time movie but without Ai, procedural physics and all the other stuff needed for a real working game?
Don't come with "not enough time to optimize" bulshit answer, what's there to optimize on a so called dev friendly machine based on known x86 architecture.
I just love the old school 2d isometric view, and turn based battle system.
After I finish FFIII I'll jump to FFV.
Surprisingly Sony manages to fail even in most simple things.
It's so sad that it's funny.
Everyone who bought the Wii for Mario, Zelda Mario Kart will buy the WiiU.
They all waiting for the games to be released.
WiiU will be more than OK after the big N games are released, end of story.
Mario Kart on Wii sold over 30 millions, let's see how many of them will buy the WiiU for the next installment.
I don't think that the soccer mom's who bought the Wii for Wii Fit also bought Mario Kart or Mario Galaxy.
Just play it, and you will get in to it, but you don't need to have a reason or a goal in this game.
It's fun just wandering around, exploring the beautiful world, you don't need to follow a quest.
Do some hunting,be adventurer, and when you find someone to talk to you might get a quest, and if you like it you can follow the quest or not.
You can even kill that person, you can kill half the population of Skyrim if you want to.
It's a Role pl...
Good news, and even better for all those who never owned a xbox360.
Now you have one reason more to switch sides and go with xbox720.
And BC in xbox720 won't cost that much, it's not the Cell.
If ms can produce a full xbox360 console and sell it for 99$,then a soc for bc can't cost more than 20$.
