If your PS2 is only 3+ years and not 5+ then your PS2 is a newer model. I'd hope it works better than the launch PS2s because we all know how bad those were. Anyone that believes that Sony is not releasing demo stations this year is a complete moron and if they are right Sony is a complete moron. With the way news is lately i go with the second option. If there are no demo stations all that means is that the system doesn't match what they are showing so they are covering something up by making all the people that are going to get one but it sight unseen.

Please stay on the PS3, the 360 is already overflowing on the shelves and needs to get rid of the crap franchise to make room. The first one looked great at E3 05 when it was shown off as a lead game for the 360 but then it was delayed and when i played the demo it turned out to be an extremely dull game that quickly got nocked off the buy list. The game concept sounds cool and the videos look cool but it is really stupid to play.
Just like the Microsoft points that are purchased in the stores so that you can go home and put it in your system without having to give credit card information or anything. Then after you have purchased whatever you want the extra is just stored as credit for latter.

Shotty is correct, the Xbox used standard drives while the 360 uses laptop ones which aren't available in 250 gb versions yet. So this can't happen any time soon.

The $10 is because developers say that it costs more to develope the games and that the price change had to be made for the industry to survive. Nothing to do with Microsoft or the format chosen since many are now being released at $39.99 and all Microsoft games are $49.99, the same price or cheaper.

Could someone please tell me what is so impressive. Those videos barely look last gen. What is so impressive about them? If this earns bragging rights for the PS3 i don't want to see how the real games look. These vides are tech demos, not in game footage so they can do allot more detail than a real shot yet still lack any kind of wow factor.

Microsoft would never add a third sku with that set up. The whole point of two is that you can pay for how ever much you want and if you schoose just upgrade latter when you have the money. If they add a third one like that they would kill that theory since that is not something that could be upgraded to. It would follow Sony's theory of forcing people to buy the expensive model if they want anything good and then just advertising the cheap one to show that the price is low.
A 500GB harddrive would not fit the current case design. Microsoft uses laptop HDs for the 360, full HDs were used in the Xbox. In order for this to be true they would have to have some other kind of rigging to attach the harddrive.
With how much Microsoft has been pushing the inovative and intuitiveness of the 360 Vision cammera why wouldn't they just make something like the Wii only without the remote by having the Vision watch limbs and fingers like was shown at E3.
Well it seems like Apple screwed up in switching to Intel. Evan Microsoft could tell right away that the Intel processor in the Xbox was not what they needed to win and switched to the PPC made by IBM instead.
The 360's graphics port is more advanced than the PS3's. It is capable of outputting analog and digital while the PS3's will only output analog and requires a seperate port for digital content. When it is time for the 360 to have HDMI all they have to do is release a cord with an HDMI end and an Xbox 360 end. That's why the digital audio port for the 360 is on the plug along with all the other video and audio plugs while the PS3 needs a sperate port just for digital audio and one for video.
