Anyone else find the 1080P screen interesting? That means that you must use a TV with HDMI, not component and no cheaper more readily available computer monitor option and even more interesting is the fact that it says that the PS3 is already implementing the digital rights management thing that HD-DVD and Blu-Ray decided to hold off on. That will most likely cause problems for anyone with an HDTV with HDMI that is not less than two months old.
It seems like everyone is into the whole Live Arcade aspect of all three consoles but i just can't get excited over it. The only games i have seen that have interested me are Uno and Marble Blast Ultra and out of the ones coming i can't wait for the racing game that was delayed to add multiplayer (can't remember the name) and this Novadrome listed sounds like it may be interested. I'm just not a big fan of playing classic games at all. The new, original, and board games are the only cool aspe...
Bill's reason was because of US laws that prevent CEOS from just taking a product that should be going to a consumer. It basically says that any person that is not directly related (development team or department) to the product must buy (not free) it at a retail store with everyone else so he was forced to wait until they were more easily available.
They keep track of everyones purchases so they could have made something that when you register your new zune you enter your msn id and then it downloads all your purchased music as zune compatible. Since it is all Microsoft that should be legal and not cost anything more than the bandwidth.

Xbox 360 updates are available through:
-Xbox Live
-Some games (i think mostl Microsoft Games Studio Games, but no game requires an update so it doesn't matter)
-Xbox Magazine demo discs
-Downloading to a PC and burning to a disc
-Fill out a form online and Microsoft mails a disc
-Call Microsoft support and request a disc to be mailed
I play a console to get away from the whole experience of a computer!
"Press the X button to exit suit"
You can always hope
So these updates don't give me any benefit?
The ps3 games are played on developer's servers and the 360 games are played on a closed Microsoft network on their servers. The only games that could happen with are EA ones since both consoles use EA's servers but Ea lacks allot of innovation and skill so i wouldn't expect it coming from them anytime soon.
Newspapers don't matter anyway. None of their staff ever knows anything about gaming or technology. I remember reading a New York Times article last year about the 360 that had over half the information wrong. They just need to stop talking sometimes but never seem to know how.
I've been using it as my main system since May and it seems ready. The new Aero GUI is the main reason to upgrade because the rest of the system is still XP based. The only issue i've found with it is the huge percentage of XP compatible software and hardware that is not compatible with Vista.
How can everyone say that the 360 is hot yet when the PS3 is referred to as the same temperature it is called cool? Doesn't that mean that it runs hot but the system's case only feels warm unless you touch the air vents (which the PS3 has on the sides, back, and bottom) which are blowing out hotter air? Another thin to note is the fact that everyone says that the system is quiet but they are saying that the drive is loud, as loud as any mac slot loading drive (i have used many models of those...
The launch of the official final release seems like a good date to release larger HDDs!?!
These people were not even told to expect a PS3 in the next year and suddenly they find out that they get it on day 1 just two weeks before launch. How is this fair to Europe who was promised and then had it ripped away. I want to hear an official apology, just reach into your pocket Ken we know you have a stack of preprinted apology letters, your entire company has been using them nonstop the past few days.
November 17th till the 20th i think will be the best deals on the 360 that you will be seeing until next Christmas. Microsoft will definitely want to try and compete hard with the launch of the PS3 and Wii and all those people that fail to get one will want a little extra incentive to switch to the 360 right away instead of waiting and trying to get one again.
Four cores doesn't mean faster. The processor is 4 cores at 2.66 GHz (not accurate 10.64). The tri-ppc is 3 cores running at 3.2 GHz (not accurate 9.6). The 2.66 Ghz is on Intel's scale which is known to be over generous when compared to the AMD/PPC scale which always gives a lower GHz but actually performs much higher than the same on an Intel. It was also proven when the dual cores started to come out that a dual core processor with a lower clock speed per core but a higher total speed is a...
I said it over a week ago when the huge ad showed up at the Times Square Toys R' Us and now it's confirmed. I wander if they will be able to pull it off like the Microsoft one with every times square billboard advertising their product.
Rockstar's Table Tennis game expired as well. That is why i keep my OXM subscription. The demos on their allow me to clear my hard drive and they never expire.
That would offer more entertainment than Linux
